  1. You can take a deep breath now! Just in time for scrimmages to start
  2. Complaining about coverage... Football season really is back!
  3. With practice starting for most teams in SETX tomorrow, just wanted to say good luck to all the teams and fans over there as the season starts. I do miss being there at times, though I know some people on here were glad I left lol. Anyhow, I wish a ton of success to all the area teams!
  4. Nobody ever said that all lives don't matter, but in this country, black lives have not mattered as much as some other lives for a very long time. BLM's message from the start is that black lives matter "as well", not more than any other group. You deciding to lump all BLM activists into one group that advocates cop-killing (which is untrue as there are BLM leaders who have come out and condemned the killing of police officers as retaliation) is just like someone who decides to lump all police officers into one group, whether they are crooked cops or otherwise. When they are all lumped together, people beg and plead for that not to be the case. But BLM has some extremists that most people disagree with and that falls by deaf ears. You wouldn't dare group all Christians together based off of what the Westboro Baptist Church does and you wouldn't (well people do, but they shouldn't) group all Muslims together because of ISIS. You pick and choose when to group everyone together and when to separate them. It is certainly possible to condemn unjustified cop killings and still acknowledge that there is police brutality and unjustified killing by cops of black people. If you don't see that then there's nothing I can do to convince you. And if you're going to simply post videos and stories that back up your argument, I figure I will post stories that show the other side: [Hidden Content] And another one: [Hidden Content]
  5. Looks like Deionte Thompson is the 3rd safety at Bama, probably could play as the dime back. I see Tony Brown is training but I haven't heard anything about his playing time or if he's still suspended.
  6. I see. I hope the change pays off for Silsbee. I still think this will be a high scoring game just because it's the first game of the season. Both teams seem to have more weapons on the offensive side of the ball. Defenses may take a bit more time to gel. I could see the Silsbee defense struggling a bit to start the season but being a force by the time district/playoffs start.
  7. I feel like Silsbee/PN-G will be a very high-scoring game
  8. There are a few teams I can think of that are. But you're right, has nothin to do with nothin
  9. LC-M isn't all white, if that's who you're implying. Not close really.
  10. Those were really nice. I think West Brook as a whole has my favorite unis in SETX.
  11. I was looking at some of the VYPE previews and I thought of this question for the forum: Best/favorite unis in SETX? A lot of people will have bias to the team they root for. Some like old school unis (WO-S, Nederland) and some like newer looking ones (PA Memorial, PN-G). Anyways, thought this would be a good question for the dog days of July. I like the PA Memorial red unis, I just wish the numbers were black or white instead of the tough to read red on red.
  12. Well Oak Ridge plays West Brook at the Butch on Oct. 27 for anyone that wants to root Jacoby on. Congrats to him on the new gig! WO-S prepared him well, that I'm sure of.
  13. Listen man, I don't really care. But it was a drawing, not sure how any one drawing could have chosen another pool. Anyways, the people that drew and ultimately approved that poster made a mistake. Whether it was purposely racial or not, I don't know. But it was a mistake. A mistake that a place as big as the Red Cross can't make. And if you want to be childish about when you think your race is considered inferior, go right ahead, you won't be the first or last. I don't want to make it a competition, I wish the worst complaint we could have is an insurance commercial.
  14. Maybe they should have picked a better insurance company.
  15. His first D1 offer, from Colgate University
  16. The Oscar Smith and Edna Karr entrances got me too hyped lol.
  17. Everything I've seen on twitter today says that he's choosing between those schools in the next day or 2
  18. Mid-County Madness East Chamber/Hamshire-Fannett WO-S/Jasper in the 2013 playoffs (great game)
  19. So he was allowed to transfer because he was an early enrollee I assume? And does he still have to sit out this upcoming season?
  20. Willie Jones III received his seventh offer, this one from Louisiana-Monroe
