I've coached Marshall, and against Franklin. As sophomores they are both ahead of the game, and have huge upsides. Good to hear they are doing well.

Thank you! I was very excited for Ethan and Austin when they got the news. Very cool opportunity as Soph. I hope they go and at a minimum learn alot. I have not said it but congrats to the other two young men as well!

Your right KS I am a proud dad I'm sure as proud as you would like to be someday...as far as all the who's who crap well like I said you know exactly who I am...I have not stalked you or been a problem to you. I did have two accounts and my oldest 20 year old son was posting on it and I told him to stop. So drop it now. If you do have a kid put all this energy into them and stop being so obsessed with me and my kid...get your own life!

Kountze easily wins this. In fact, I think they win state.  I mean, they have the righty and the lefty, and it doesn't matter who you choose.  ;)

Sounds like someone has a chip on his shoulder !!  Or maybe a boulder lol !!  Why is it wrong to be proud of your kids ?
Just leave the boys alone and let them go out and do what that started out trying to do this year !  Good luck to the
Lions I can honestly say there isn't a group of boys that deserve this more than these boys !!  One game
at a time boys !  One game at a time !

Yes I am proud of my kid he has worked year round since he was 6 years of age...he has a dream to play ball at the next level and he works to make that dream come true...so I am proud of my lefty...damn skippy I am!  But just as important right now I am proud of all these young men...the seniors...Tyler, Braden, Cole, Jessie, Bradley, Tanner, Darrien...the juniors...Rowdy, Kolton...the sophomores...Ryder, Stevie, Ethan, Austin, Kade, Tanner, Jake, Kyle...the freshman...Caden and Kyler. They have worked as a team, they have done what has not been done in like 5 plus seasons. So far this year we have at least three seniors looking to further their baseball years. FOR THE RECORD YOU CAN RUN YOUR FLAG UP ABOUT INDIVIDUAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS BUT IT THAT TEAM "W" that means the most!
NOW BOYS GO GET THIS SERIES AND GO ONE MORE STEP...THEN ONE STEP AT A TIME.
4. Back to the game...Boling has a good group of boys. They have about ten returning starters with a mixture of those being first team and second team all district players...by the look of scores I not sure how strong the pitching is but is obviously enough to get third in their district. Their bats look to be pretty solid so I think it will be a great series. I think Kountze will prevail after three games.

1or2 I must have misread something ,I've looked and looked never seen a claim either to that statement......just must be a negative statement on his part.oh!may I be invited for coffee too?and afterwards I know someone will be typing with his elbows....lol... ;) jk.

If not coffee...definitely tea and scumpets...lol...look what ever I said it must have been highly assumtiptive and intrusive. Actually to be honest, I don't remember saying that...
6. Ok kieth...let's be friends, lol...I have meant no disrespect to anyone with any comment...so for the record I think my son the lefty and coach franklins son the righty are special kids and have a bright future. If I have offended anyone due to my excitement than I apologize and if my support was taken as self promoting than please forgive me...was not intended to be taken that way! But I would appreciate it if you would not come across with derogatory statements about any player on this forum. If its a problem with me than address me...we can always go have a cup of coffee somewhere and talk about it in detail. Once again sorry if I offended you or anyone else. Oh and thanks for recognizing they do have ability.  GO KOUNTZE LIONS!

Lol...hey thanks Kieth...I new you would come around buddy! Thanks for the unwavering support! Your the man amigo. Hey if your going to the game we can sit together and bond!
8. I'm just thankful the game got played and it was not decided on a coin flip and if the weather had not improved at the last minute it would have been doubtful. As far as Howell on the mound I applaud the fact that Deweyville coach went for the win...I still think it not the best move with a playoff game possible in three days, but that's his coaches call. But you are right no body can look at it now and have a doubt that EC prevailed and did so playing a team that gave 100% of itself...sure got to feel better that way than a coin flip or playing a team that was in prime lineup to test EC's skill... Congrats to EC for a fine game and season.  Congrats to Deweyville for the same! Best of luck to you both in the playoffs.

JMO it does not matter where the track meet was at knowing there was rain in the schedule the game should have been played as scheduled on Friday but they did not, to accommodate two kids, by doing that it screwed the entire district. Like I said this is just my opinion no disrespect meant toward any one.
JMO Deweyville trying to accommodate the other team showed alot of class. I would want to beat a team at 100% then for someone to say the outcome could have come out different. Some people could say they would have scewed the district up playing the game with one team at 90%. I say let the coaches, coach and make the decisions without everyone second guessing them. More than likely the game will be played and will decide outcome of the district. Thanks to the Deweyville Head Coach for trying to help all the kids and it was first class in my BOOK and hope the EC coaches would do the same for the kids in Deweyville. Good luck to both teams.
I think there is just a bit of frustration coming out...think about your statement Deweyville would want to beat EC when they were at 100%...well the same should go the other way as well. Not taking anything against DP number 2 guy but he is not Howell either and because the game was not played according to the schedule and the game was suspended due to weather, Howell will most likely not be the man today with playoffs looming Thursday. So now If EC wins did you get a game that was 100%...now throw Hardin into that mix...face it the situation is tainted either way you go play the schedule or reschedule. It think it is a true catch 22 situation. I applaued trying work with multi-sport athletes...so like I said no real answer to the situation so in situations like this I think you follow the schedule and next year get with UIL and try to use more foresight so maybe it's not such a no win situation. Game should get played today and playing the game is 100% better than living with a coin flip. Good luck to All involved.
10. Actually if I were Deweyville Coach knowing I had to play Thursday, Friday time frame...I would not pitch Howell. Think about it DP can't win the district but the are in playoffs...Howell pitched because it was Senior night and last home game. If DP does not throw Howell than I think EC takes that game. If I am HH guy...I would have to be a bit frustrated with why the game was not played according to the schedule and who actually made the decision to move it and who okayed it? Only time will tell now if things could or should have been different.
11. Ok this is crazy...with better than 50% chance of rain Monday and Tuesday...it my understanding that the district has to certified before close of day on Tuesday and that is a hard deadline. If the game can not happen than a coin flip will take place and my question is it between DP and EC or is it between EC and HH since DP and KL is already in the playoff picture. Then my next question is how is the District title decided. If EC wins the toss do they get the district or is it then just a Co-Title between EC and KL or is a three way title with DP. My next question is what if EC were to loose the toss...then what? Does it go to KL or Co-title with DP??????
12. Looking in from the outside and seeing what Coaches and AD's go through when dealing with politically charged atmospheres...it seems logical that AC would leave???? That environment does not make things enjoyable. But from another perspective and being the son of a coach that was enclosed in the administrative side of athletics...even when things were not as they seem to be now, one still deals with the day to day grind of the foresaid position...in other words my Dad just could not enjoy coaching. He would have not been envolved in the administration side of athletics if he had not of wanted to move on to secondary admin. AC in my opinion was not in coaching to do that...he was in coaching to coach kids...it was only obvious. Folks need to think about this...maybe he left just to be able to get back to the roots he so enjoyed and stepping down in a town where you have been THE MAN is just not fisable. A move like that would require him to move. Sometimes we accuse Coaches of over coaching...I think us arm chair QB's...lol...sometimes over think it???
13. Kountze vs Anahauc...Ethan Franklin pitched 4 innings with 13 K's( one extra due to dropped third strike)...Austin Marshall pitched 3 innings with 9k's for a total of 22 k's in 7 innings no base hits: as a matter of fact there was not one ball put in play. This was as good of a performance as you could ask from any pitching staff. Very proud of these two...both sophmores and God willing and the creek don't rise; look forward to the next two years still to come.  :D
