My kids attend Ozen, so I won't report what I hear of what happened because I didn't attend the meeting. Don't want any misinformation hurting Our Ozen Family. I will give any information I'm privy to if I'm in attendance of any further meetings if there are any. Please pray for our kids & we will do the same for yours. That's an excuse for the board. they know the kind of members they are & know the others surrounding them. Each & every member should have done their own homework before making their vote. This " I wasn't informed" Bull is old. All of those guys played a role in the demise of this district & i'm sick & tired of the Bull**** excuses. Everyone please quit taking up for Nield, or however you spell it. He is just as guilty.  Bottom line is our kids lose once again, but this isn't a race, it's a MARATHON. As a parent I will do my best to keep my son & other kids encouraged. There will be Triumph & a testimony after the storm rolls through.

No sir you're the idiot, my kids being in BISD hasn't kept them from being honor students. Yes we have problems, but my kids don't have a choice but to get it done. The district isn't the problem, it's some that run it. Furthermore, being A proud Black Man I never use race as an excuse. So don't ever in your Rabbit *** life disrespect me like that. I have high Moral Standards & i expect the same from ALL kids I come in contact with. You are the RACIST, I can feel it through the messages you leave on here.

it seems to me that everyone is missing the point.  if the coach really told chargois about the problem, and I believe he probably did, and chargois chose not to say anything to the board members, which appears to be true, the only conclusion is that chargois knew how toxic the topic would be and chose not to say anything because he knew the board would never go for the hire in the first place.  this is not about media scrutiny - this is about a school official having knowledge about something that is apparently important to many people - and then choosing to take a road that would lead to all of this trouble.  it should be the credibility of the superintendent that is being questioned, not the coach - and not the media. 
 
this has nothing to do with Kirbyville or hull-daisetta.  this is solely about a lack of leadership and a problem with credibility.

Personally, i'm fed up with the whole situation. Those that need to be Jailed, please do so, but I have kids in BISD and we will prevail regardless. All of this is out of our control, but can't whine about our situations but we are aware. Voting is the key, and our VOICES need to be heard.  I agree that there is a double standard on the reporting.  There is a Bias in the reporting and we all know it, but that goes with the Territory. This doesn't excuse the wrongdoing of BISD. I'm Ashamed for the light our kids & community are put in because of some greedy, immoral idiots that were voted into positions. This crap has to stop & i'm sure i will be called a troublemaker, but that line forms around the corner for me.

Coaches can't fool kids. When kids trust and believe in you, they will run through walls for you. The kids will know if he truly cares about them. You can't fake it. If he was successful in NF, maybe he can come over here and pull it off. Talent will take you only so far. But kids believing in their coach will take you further.

Well, here we are once again. Personally I don't care about a Coaches Wins or Losses. As I stated before, I look for Character, Integrity. Qualities that the people doing the hiring don't possess. Just because you Win games don't mean you can Coach & If you lose doesn't mean you can't. Clearly our former Coach lost a lot, but he couldn't make adjustment & certainly didn't know his personnel. We need a Coach that cares; if he cares he will instill discipline, make them accountable, respect & listen to them, but most if ALL, get to know them personally. If he does this, these kids will run through Walls. This only occurs if you CARE. I really don't care about Football, what lessons are you teaching my Son & his Peers. If you're a football Coach, football is the easy part; the Game of Life is what you really must Teach. As Coaches (in my case volunteer) we wear many Hats; Counselor, Friend, Father, Mentor, Spiritual Advisor. Whatever the situation calls for, we have to make the adjustment. Personally as a Coach, how can I ask my kids to Sacrifice & go beyond, but I settle for the Status Quo? Bottom line, either you be who you Claim to be, or these kids will EXPOSE you.
Lastly, words of wisdom to our new Leader. I saw how some of the older Alumni were giving their 2 cents to the last Regime. We all see how that worked out. If I were you I would be like Frank Sinatra and do it "My Way". Good Luck Mr Atkins & welcome to SETX football. I pray for a good transition for you & your family
