it is going to be a VERYYY good game.
but i think that the broncos will come out on top.
this is one of the biggest games of the year for us.
if we winthis game, all we have to do is win against png on the ninth.
i still say that we are going to win.
at least my a couple of touchdowns or so.
1st---you have to get past Nederland----don't think this is going to happen....Neumann will have his team ready for you.....plus, Nederland is out to make a statement.....sorry, don't think you will win, will be close, but Nederland comes out with the "W". Gonna be an exciting two weeks. Best of luck to ALL the teams, prayerfully for no injuries as we end the regular season.

They start clapping before they even form the 'I' to start playing the fight song. At Central, our band dosn't play in the 3rd quarter. So when we score in the third, we have to do the drum roll against the bleachers with our feet and pound them with our fists. lol.
You're kidding me! They don't play at all during the 3rd quarter? Why is that? I noticed when we played Lumberton, that the band blasted us everytime we had a 3rd down. It was really loud. And people will say the band/fans have no effect on the game. Yeah, right!

Honestly, this one is too close to call. It could go either way.
I will pick nederland by 7 in a great game with two great coaches
I agree....gonna be close! Hoping Nederland pulls out the win!

PNG gets top honors! As was said earlier.....it's infectuous! Just somethin about those war drums....CHEROKEE!
-
PNG #1
Nederland #2
Dayton or Lumberton #3 (Just can't speculate yet)
However.....you never know! I feel like Nederland will beat Dayton this week, just a gut feeling. PNG will definitely be ready for Dayton .....who knows! Anything can happen. One thing for sure.....gonna be an exciting 2 weeks of football!

Port Neches-Groves . But, we are taking it one game at a time. We will know on November 9th. Good luck to all the teams for an injury free end of regular season.

come on central step it up us in nederland have faith in ya'll we need ya'll to come out with a win. dont do it for just ya'll do it for 22-4a everyones on ya'lls side except png.
First off, I DON'T see everyone on Central's side except PNG. Lame post. Very doubtful Central will win, especially, as already posted, this is the last game in the current Reservation stadium. The emotions will be running very HIGH! Last week against Vidor, the score spread should have been more. Felt there were bad calls for both teams. Vidor came out to play, and I see in the next couple of years, Vidor will become stronger and stronger. You can bet Burnett will make adjustments and have this team ready for Friday. Scalp 'em, NDN's!

My wife graduated from PNG in 1978, I graduated from Newton in 1978. We were married in 1982 and that fall, I experienced my first football game at The Reservation. When we walked up, heard the drums, saw the Indian Spirit, all the headdresses and ALL the fans....man, I thought I was in football heaven! That next year we had season tickets and have had them ever since! The feeling was indescribable and still to this day, I get chill bumps at times when we play at The Reservation. Since then, my son was an Indian Spirit and my daughter is an Indianette. We still have purple and white feathers all over the house! The stadium has a lot of fond memories, too many to single out....this weeks game will definitely be emotional.....can't wait!

Both predictors were perfect in 22-4A...
Lets see how the point spreads worked...
POINT SPREADS....
DAYTON +21 OVER CENTRAL
Dayton wins by 20 over Central. Point spread almost perfectly predicted. Central does beat the spread by 1 point.
NEDERLAND +22 OVER LC-M
Nederland wins by 28. Covers the spread by 6.
PN-G +12.5 OVER VIDOR
Vidor beats the spread and plays PN-G to 7 points.
LUMBERTON +10.5 OVER OZEN
Lumberton's offense is now rolling. Lumberton destroys the Panthers by 24 easily covering the spread, in fact more than doubling it.
CONGRATS TO THE INDIANS, BRONCOS, BULLDOGS, AND THE RAIDERS!
What a last two weeks of the season it will be.
It is very unfortunate that one of these teams only has two games left.
One very deserving team will not be going to the playoffs.
I agree with you. All four of these teams deserve to go. These last two weeks are going to be interesting, nail biting, exciting, and all the adjectives you can throw in there! Good luck to ALL the teams!

All smack talk aside, this is going to be a great game to watch. Should be one of those games where you go back and forth between sheer bliss and suicidal several times in 2 hours. ;D
I agree....PNG had them back to back.....Nederland, then Lumberton ! It is going to be a great game! I know there is a lot of talk about Dayton and no doubt they are a good team, well balanced. However, I still feel like the Bulldogs are gonna take this one.....won't be a big spread in the scores. Just have that gut feeling.......Go Bulldogs, Go MidCounty !!!
-
Good point and post, Mike. Go Dogs !
-
Vidor definitely came to play ball last night. Pirates looked like they were on a mission. GREAT halftime ! Did have a problem with the refs calls.......they didn't seem to have their heads in the game.
-
Whoever they have, will not be good enough to shutdown the Nederland passing attack. The story will be can Dayton outscore Nederland, because Nederland will light it up. They throw the ball better than any team in the area and there are very few teams that can stop a good passing game. No excuses, PNG beat us, but Kirby was badly dinged up in the second half which impacted the outcome of the game. When he's healthy, you have to outscore the Dogs... and there defense ain't too bad. Should be a good tussle.
I agree Penny. I don't think Dayton will beat Nederland. It'll be close, but I think Nederland will come away with the win. Go Bulldogs!!!!
-
I don't see Dayton beating PNG....PNG has come together for a well balanced team. I just don't see it. I also think Nederland will beat Dayton as well. When Nederland is in the hunt, they will prevail. I think they will beat Dayton. MidCounty rules this year.
-
Since, it's at The Reservation, and PNG will definitely make adjustments afte tonights game at Vidor, PNG will win this one. I predict PNG 28, Central 14. GO INDIANS !
-
I think that if Lumberton plays Nederland like they played PNG, they will win......especially since they will have home field advangage. Man, I was shocked at how loud the Lumberton fans are.....keep it up! You guys have come a long way.....its time for you to shine in the playoffs.
-
Harrison is a great kid. I knew his dad, Marty and still see his mom Candace at each and every game. Nice article.
-
I agree.
-
Just somethin about that Headdress tunnel, hearing the war drums, Cherokee being played, and all that purple and white on a field of green! Go Indians !
-
The better team didnt win. I hope PNG and Lumberton some how meet up again in the playoffs. If not, then theres always next year.
Ummm........the BETTER team did WIN!!!!!
-
Vidor usually pulls at least one upset a year. I am going to go against the grain on here and say VIDOR by 3! It is Homecoming and they will be mad about their close call last week and want it!!! I think wins could be going to PNG's head and hopefully they could be overlooking the Pirates! Go VIDOR get the upset surprise of the week and CELEBRATE Homecoming night boys!!!!!!!!!!
To correct you, the wins are not going to PNG's head. Of course, thats what you want to think. You havent heard any PNG fan get on here and say we have district hands down, we realize there could be upsets. What you have heard, is that PNG is taking it one game at a time.....thats the way its been all year, and will continue. So, don't talk trash on PNG if you can't validate the facts.
-
Now that you brought it up. Why does png march to the mascots initial? TOO many letters in png? ???
I'm glad that Nederland did not copy that tradition.
The marching "I" is a long time tradition of PNG. Not for sure why its this way, but I'm glad it is. PNG's halftime performances are ALWAYS top notch, and the marching "I" gets the fans, football players, etc. ready and excited for the second half. All the headdresses, the Indian Spirit, Band out there on the field, resonates ...HONOR......PRIDE......TRADITION ! "Purple and white on a field of green, prettiest sight you have ever seen! " (just thought I would throw that in )
-
Nederland
I don't see Nederland winning district, they still have to go through Lumberton and Dayton. I do think, if they are playing their "A" game, they will be in the playoffs. Gonna be tough.
