Everyone come out tonite for the Spring pep rally. Going to be very good! Lets pack the stands and give the new coaches a Purple Pride welcome and let them feel the Honor...Pride.....Tradition that only the PNG faithful can give! I-N-D-I-A-N-S, Scalp 'em, Indians, Scalp 'em!

I think that because of where Coach Faircloth came from (Permian) , the OC Coach Carey (Aledo), the DC Coach Coker (Keller) and the quality of the other assistant coaches PNG has this year, that PNG will be put under a microscope for ALL to be scrutinized over time and again. PNG has an EXCELLENT coaching staff this year and as I stated earlier, its feels really GOOD to have this excitement at The Reservation again. There's gonna be the "naysayers" out there and the "overconfident" fans as well. This is just part of high school football in Texas. Its gonna be a GREAT year for our district.....just can't wait until Week 0!

Gonna be a GREAT! Planning on packing out the stands, get everyone EVEN more fired up than they already are! Plus, will be a good way to welcome the new coaches and let them see the Honor.......Pride...........Tradition of the PNG faithful. The powder puff game is being played afterwards. And, I beleive, they are asking folks to donate a dollar towards project graduation.

Cardinal Supporter, I added a positive to your Karma because I agree with you. Anything posted on the web is "free" to all. I agree, there is a LOT of excitement at The Reservation this year and I for one am VERY glad...it feels good. And I know many times I have been on here defending my Indians to the bitter end (look at my negative Karma's), but irregardless, and however it may have been intended, I STILL would NOT put down the offenses of Nederland or Dayton.

This is GREAT! Actually, they ARE! Coach Faircloth stated, at the 1st Booster Club mtg., that the coaches are at the middle schools, working with players every day. That's pretty exciting!

I seem to always get "burned" when I try to make predictions on teams here in Southeast Texas. One thing for sure, I hope one or more of our area teams bring home the State Trophy this year!

I believe one of the reasons for the change was that the HC position would also include the AD. Since Burnett did not have his masters for the shared position of AD/HC, a change was needed. Matt is a good guy, and again, he is a PNG faithful. I have the utmost respect for him, however, I feel that Coach Faircloth is intent on building a "complete" program, one that will be extremely competitive in the years to come. And, from the looks of things, he has the support with his assistants, and the backing of PNGISD and the community to get the job done. PNG.......Honor........Pride............Tradition !

I don't feel that Coach Burnett was betrayed by the PNG faithful. As was stated, it was time for a change. Burnetts roots go deep at PNG and he will always be a PNG faithful. I don't see him doing anything to try and bring PNG down.

Thats right. That brings the total to six new coaches. Ain't it great how that works, and to think there were some on here saying the job was not attractive because the new coach would not be able to bring any of his own with him. I definitely like what is happening. ;D ;D ;D

THis is great to finally have a booster club ! I will have 4 kids remaining in the PNGISD system after this year. My youngest son will be a freshman next year and he is so pumped about the new system for football. The coaches from the high school have been going to GMS on almost a daily basis and working with these young men and introducing them to the new system. Everyday he comes home and tells me what they did and you can feel the excitment and how pumped up he is ! I also have 2 step daughters who will be up in high school in the next 2-5 years and they are big time softballers !!! Dang good too !!! I'm very happy to finally have a booster club, now we can get some of the things that these student athletes need !!! Man, this is great! Thanks for sharing.....I love the enthusiam in and around The Reservation!

I think PNG will end up higher, not sure where. I DO think this is the year that Vidor will make the playoffs. Could be wrong, cuz it is Southeast Texas football, but I just have this gut feeling about it.

Not sure how soon it will be before the Indians are back in the playoff picture...that remains to be seen. I do think, that Coach Faircloth is a very intelligent, "football" minded coach, and definitely has the Indians headed in the right direction. Its good to feel the exitement and anticipation around The Reservation again!

Faircloth definitely has his stuff together, and with the support of the new coaches he has on staff, as well as keeping some of the old, this guy is the REAL deal. Man, I'm excited! And, can't wait for week 0. I think a lot of folks around the area are going to be surprised with the PNG Indians this year! Q: Talk some about your offense and what type of run-pass balance do you intend to have? A: Fifty-fifty. We want to throw it 30 times and run it 30 times. I will be calling the plays probably for the whole season. We will be doing exactly the same things on offense that we’ve done at Odessa Permian. That’s what we’ve taught our new coaches. We always take input. We’ve hired guys from really great programs. They already have brought in some good new ideas and I definitely don’t mind changing if it makes us better. I’m not stuck in my ways. I expect them to bring in good ideas. That’s why I hired them. I got to be exposed to the commitment and work ethic of Matthew Stafford, before the three straight quarterbacks at Permian. So I’ve been around four straight pretty good quarterbacks since 2005. They have each raised the bar and that is the bar we will hold all the PN-G quarterbacks accountable for. I have no reason to believe they won’t be as successful as everyone else in the past. I sincerely hope the good folks in Nederland vote and pass the bond. Those in favor need to get out there, campaign, encourage the people to get out and vote, and push this thing through. Approving the bond is a "win-win" situation for all involved, but especially for the students! Best of luck !
