many years ago I applied for a head coaching job at a predominately black school - During the interview a PR lady asked me if I thought I would have a hard time coaching these kids since I was white -- A very wise old black man interrupted her (happened to the superintendent) and said don't worry--- winning will take care of all that. He was right too!!!

Actually, it is dead when it hits the ground in the end zone, not when it crosses the goal line in the air and is caught.
Congrats to the Mustangs on a great run, it hardly means your Dynasty is over, nor that we are one now.
But, for now, until the next Season, we have beat the Man to be The Man.
I, as many fans were, was nervous in the latter parts, when the only real weakness PG has shown was exploited for some Passing gains.
It really appeared like the game was switching Mo, and WOS was going to show what Champions do. They made it a great game.
However, for this year, I think respect and recognition goes to the Hawks. We expect that WOS fans are going to be Homers for their boys, just as we are. We all just love our own schools and football.
Many of us, if we were in the same school would be great buds with that in common. For me, after the game, there is no animosity or rancor. Win or lose, It is good that as far as I could tell, nobody got hurt, and I hope we all get home safely.
CONGRATULATIONS ON A GREAT WIN FOR YOUR PROGRAM AND COMMUNITY-- YOUR KIDS SHOWED NOTHING BUT CLASS

Y'all remember when I said this and got phoo phooed. I knew those big boys never winded against us and I promise we tried to run them in the ground. What I found interesting in the broadcast was that #90, the defensive lineman that wreaked havoc all day at 300lbs.......is a freaking starter on PGs soccer team. I guess that was why he was so well conditioned.
you were rt - dam good ball player- great feet and movement

All year long, for years, I have seen way too many holding and off sides calls on WOS, and the coaches there just let it happen. And that illegal formation? Absolutely no excuse for that. WOS might score again, but no way they are going to win this one.
If Watson can't beat them on the outside, he darn sure is not going to make it up the middle.
48 minutes ago, XX Man said:PG is tough, but if WOS was not busy shooting themselves in the foot with holding calls and illegal formation, this game could be tied up, right now. Someone said a few days ago, that WOS had to overcome the flags, to win this one.
I have said for years, that Dan and Cornel were not punishing the players for holding and outsides. They let them get by with it, and they keep doing it.
WOS should have known they were going to pass the very first play. They had a point to prove. And, the WOS secondary is making the same mistake they did against Wimberly, in letting the receiver get out in front of them. If they don't stop that quick, they will lose this one.

I would not complain about coaching, but I am complaining about the coaches allowing the players to commit the same penalties, time and time again. Cost them this game.
you need to bring your fanny out there and help teach that huh

Briles won 4 Titles in 7 years. Only one since he's left. Stephenville has 5 State Titles in 20 years. Like Aledo, did Stepenville ALWAYS have the talent? Or -- was it created through coaching?! Personally I feel C. Thompson at WOS creates his athletes. JMO!
i think god and their mamas and daddys - are doing the creating - T just guides them along
