Did anyone get to watch Jasper today? I'm curious how they played. I know the score shows it was a close game, but I've been in games where we won 1-0 and could've won 6-0, and I've won 1-0 games where we could've lost 6-0. Anybody get to watch it?

well, they've got 4 games today. If they rented the stadium for $2000, they might be $3000 in the hole for the whole shebang before collecting the gate, and i don't know what kind of arrangement they have for splitting concession profit (if any). Also, is your rental price per day, or for the duration of the tournament?

i doubt much (if any) was lost. with employees, refs, and electricity for the scoreboard i doubt they spent much more than $500 or $600. doesn't take many fans to generate that kind of revenue.

you're right, there are no easy games left. Our region is pretty weak, but Jasper did a great job with their pre-district schedule getting some tough opponents in, and HJ presented them their first decent challenge in quite awhile, so hopefully they will be ready.

Kilgore is 21-5-2, and Kennedale is 25-2 with a couple of losses to 6A schools that made pretty deep playoff runs.

Tough draw. Salado is 26-1 on the year, with their only loss coming in a shootout early on.

What was the game plan? I've heard three different people reference it. Just packing it in? Their next opponent just won a shootout after a 0-0 game, so png might get a 3rd straight 0-0 draw with this strategy

Jasper gets Bay City, who beat Bellville 6-2. Bay City is 17-3-1 on the year, with two of their losses coming to Columbia, who HJ is going to play.

Columbia beat Needville 3-2 in OT. Needville ended the year 10-10, and Columbia is 18-4. Gonna be a tough test for the Hawks.

Not many soccer fans on the site. Football, basketball, and baseball gets a lot more interest on here
