  1.
Then last night one of them made the smug comment that they have more season ticket holders than we have seats on our visitors side...

I believe that "smug comment" was made because someone falsely stated that the tickets on the visitor side were sold out, and that was the reason given. Shortly after that, he came back and said tickets were available at the gate. (So obviously it wasn't sold out.) PNG DOES have more season ticket holders than a lot of opposing teams can handle in their visitor stands (so the tickets get sold out before the season starts, even if they decide not to go to the game), and there's always drama over people not getting tickets to away games (which is likely why it was even mentioned).
  2. Still trying to figure out some calls the refs made. Like the pass interference in the end zone against WOS in the 1st half and only marked off 5/10 yards but the same exact play and they put the ball at the 2 for WOS....
Both teams played their hearts out and was a fun game to watch

Definitely was a fun game!! It always is when we play WOS. (Don't try to think about the calls too much, might give yourself a headache)
  3. I'm not going to get into this too much, but new tobie's football commentary is about as thought out as his political commentary. West Orange is still West Orange. But, the refs didn't do it for them. They still had to play the game, and they hung in there to win a hard fought game.

Definately not trying to take anything away from WOS. Those kids came out and played! The whole fiasco before the 4th qtr was just the icing on the referee cake. Sorry, but if you can't spot the ball on the same yard line when changing quarters, you have no business officiating. And the confusion there was pretty much how they ran the entire game. I am really proud of our D tonight. Lots of big stops and light years ahead of last years defense at this point in the season. Morse and Giblin were getting down in the first half, but WOS shut in down in the second, and the OL needs some work. Overall it was exactly what I expect from these 2 teams.
  4. As you can see, I only come here to read and never comment. I have to say though, that game was awesome!! Way to go Bulldogs! It was well worth the $13 ticket and $10 for parking. Nederland showed great discipline and sportsmanship. Too bad the same can't be said for Dawson. The players refusing to shake hands after the game was unacceptable. Oh well... On to the next round! Go get 'em Bulldogs!!

(it was pretty cool seeing Schaub, Johnson, and Foster on the sidelines too!)
