All 4 of the major recruiting sites list him as a CB...would bet that's what he was offered as.
-
You never know maybe after 2 years at Baylor he'll transfer to a FCS (Div. I-AA) school if it doesn't workout with Briles and Co.
That's exact what it is. Coaches know that not every kid pans out at the FBS level and having that pre-existing relationship with a recruit can be beneficial if that happens. They aren't gonna bug the kid trying to get him to play FCS instead but just let them know they "have a home" here -
SoSo Jambo
He runs from the cops pretty well.
But he got caught so maybe not too well -
IDK, Shock Linwood still had over 250 carries in Baylor's offense last year with Petty throwing it as much as he did. In today's pass happy schemes which are usually up tempo teams run close to 100 plays a game, even if you cut that number down to 85 there's still going to be about 35 or 40 carries to split between the backs so if Perine can get about 20 per game which is where he was last year he might actually have a bigger season with less people in the box. It could be a moot point anyway though if Mixon beats him out.
Mixon does have a history of beating people... -
Is the PA News website no longer readable on iOS? I can no longer get on that website from my phone...honesty haven't tried any other devices but apparently it's not the site
-
Idk I've heard he might have a breakout season...
-
That's fantastic. Very surprised it's that quick of a turnaround
-
I had to Google it but that is correct. UT must have recruited better brooms. Lol.
Heard one of the brooms was possibly used in filming therefore losing its amatuer status...being investigated by NCAA...expect harsh punishment if true -
Good to hear...what is the plan for the coaching staff in 2015? Not sure what the recovery time is for something but you'd have to think a double lung transplant is a very lengthy timeline. Has he decided to step away for good? Just this season? Plan on coaching in a limited capacity?
-
The reports I've seen said he's done ok not great though...I've seen 2 videos and he didn't look too good although he was doing the blocking portion of the drill. Hoping his added weight doesn't affect his quick get off.

Looks like Charlie has his boys' back. I like that. He's no sell out.
Isn't HONESTY his #1 Core Value?! Just admit you tried to screw Oklahoma State and pay em the $600,000... -

Who's that other RB they have that was hurt, not Gurley obviously but the other one, Marshall I think.
Yes Keith Marshall...very talented just very injury prone...has only played in 8 games the last 2 years combined -
Whoa whoa whoa...your taking me all wrong...I never said that Sharp isn't a talented QB...I'm saying that being LH works against you...your receivers have to adjust to catching passes with the opposite spin (especially worse if your backup is LH and has to come in in relief), you have to change your blocking schemes up and typically your best blocker is now your RT and not protecting your blind side.
Again not saying it means Sharp can't play QB...just saying it makes it a tougher road to get there. -
You only listing 7 LH QBs is exactly what I mean...you have to truly be special to be able to be a successful LH QB...
-
Reed's move is only supposed to be for the Spring to add depth to the WR core. Coach says he just want the best athletes on the field.
That goes to show just how hard it is to play qb in the FBS. Reed, Aston Walter and Aaron Sharp are probably the best three qb's from this coverage area over the past few years and they ALL have moved to WR or DB. People really need to understand this when trying to form an opinion on where they think their local qb should be able to play.
Both Walter and Sharp have physical things working against them as well though...Walter is 5'8" and Sharp throws left-handed -
Just mean the public perception is he is entrenched due to a long tenure...used Barnes due to both being at UT and Barnes' exit being so recent...could have used Mack Brown too...understand there are differences in the end products.
While yes Augie has 5 NC, 3 of them are at Fullerton...not sure how much weight they are given for him at UT.
Going back to also comparing Augie to Mack Brown I came across something interesting. Mack Brown's last NC before he was run out of town was 2005 and his last appearance in the NC game was 2009...Augie's last NC was 2005 and his last appearance in the Championship Series of the CWS was 2009... -
I think voters still keep them in based on the fact they were in the CWS last year and due to Augie still being at the helm...but at the moment they are not deserving of being in the top 25.He is more entrenched than Mack was. He's not going anywhere any time soon.
He went to Omaha last year and recruits like crazy. The MLB draft has killed UT (and many other programs).
I think Augie will get pass with a subpar year this year but if there is another one next year...see Rick Barnes -
Texas sure as hell doesn't belong in there...
-
Appel and Correa aren't ready for the bigs right now...they need a little more seasoning...don't be shocked to see them come September though if all goes well. Singleton was called up last year so his "clock" started then but he signed an extension anyways so that basically voids the reason players are held in the minors.
Now the Kris Bryant thing is crazy...kid should be starting opening day for Chicago. They will probably be a pretty good squad this year but I will laugh if the keep him down to gain an extra year and miss the playoffs by a game or 2 that he could have helped win...of course I still just don't like the Cubs too... -
I also hear they will be getting another local kid via transfer in 2016-2017 season after a year at LSCPA. Young man that had a very nice Freshman campaign this year in the SLC and woulda been a Cardinal this past year had Coach Price been HC earlier in the year in 2014!
Go Big Red 😉
By the 😉 I'm assuming "Go Big Red" will have an additional meaning?! -
Frat boys have to rent their friends to begin with, and in a closed group with alcohol people feel like they can take on the world. Frat boys more times then not get knocked out also when a fight happens also.
I would be all for banning the frat, but at the same time if a rapper would have used these same lyrics it would have been a number one selling song and nobody would have cared.
Typical not fraternity man comment. If you have not been in a fraternity then you don't know they half of it. Every chapter of every organization will have their bad apples who are in it for the wrong reasons...but from my experience, in time they will weed themselves out. The disgusting comments of 1 organization has put an undeserved black eye on the entire Greek community. That being said I couldn't agree more with the last part of your second paragraph -
HMMMMM.that's not what I see
You are correct...from the mobile format on 247 it had those 4 and LSU listed as his top 5 schools of interest with LSU not having offered...once expanded it shows the other offers.
But I stand by my statement that his recruitment is no where close to being what it will be in a couple months. -
I wouldn't bother going to a&m...mr football Murray has that position locked up
Gotta wait to see if he makes it there first...MLB could come calling in June...and if so that leaves just Kyle Allen who could be gone after the 2016 season.
