What you have to understand is that what you have at WO-S is not a system, but a culture. A system can be implemented in a year or two. A culture is created through years and years of everyone buying in.

The penalty that you so say heard about was due to Libertys Water Boy Kicking and slapping a WOS player as he walked back to the field from the sideline. It was so bad that they stopped the game because Libertys coach wanted to let Coach Thompson know what had happened and that he would fix the issue. There is also video proof if you need to see it so that you don't have to add this to your second hand information overload. For those that are eager to hear of WOS being exposed then yes if that is what you consider being exposed. They showed up and ran the Double Wing formation which is not what they have ran this year. It was pathetic as the spectators had to watch Liberty run play after play and then wait until 2 seconds were left on the clock to snap the ball. To some this was pure genius at work, to others it was the biggest let down to see them pretty much play keep away and still left empty handed. I believe WOS scored on 5/6 possessions and should have went 6/6. Time of possession is cool if thats what you think makes a team but it was very impressive to watch WOS score in 2 plays compared t watching Liberty play Rugby and lets pile on each other and see what we can get. If it is true that Liberty ran 60 plays with one TD and WOS ran 21 plays and scored 5 then the ratio is quite comical. WOS 4:1 and Liberty 60:1, you can have your time of possession, I am sure the Mustangs will take the points in the end. If we were exposed and still won 32-7 then I hope we get exposed every week from here on out. You're reaching my friend. I agree this was the best possible game plan for Liberty. I agree with most of this, but several Liberty posters and the Liberty radio broadcasters said this was an offense they had never seen them run. If you watch their Hudl, it's not there. Definitely not just a small wrinkle. 
Props to Liberty on a hard fought game. I think fans from the two sides have very different perspectives on that first half. Liberty sees being down only 6 at the half. WOS sees only having the ball for 3 minutes in the first half but scoring twice.
I hope the Brown kid is ok. I was a little miffed to hear Liberty's broadcast team say there was "probably some dirty play under that pile." Just really dumb. The KOGT feed kept cutting out, so I flipped over. I think we take what Gary Stelly gives us for granted.

This discussion has missed one potential element that contributed to the loss....that Hardin-Jefferson might just be that good.  I know, folks want to point to the 62-0 loss the week before but the fact is that WO-S has done that to everybody that they have played so far.  H-J is a team that was able to improve over last year when they were adjusting to a new coach (and yet were not that many points away from reversing their fortunes last season) and had a quality win over Jasper coming into this game.  Sure, if you would have asked me on last Friday morning, I would have chosen Liberty but I can't say I was surprised about the outcome.  In fact, I had warned earlier in the week of this result as it appeared that they were overlooking a team that I felt was much closer in quality to them than they did.
And this is not to in any way meant to dismiss the quality of Liberty.  They are a really good team who have done things that a Panther team has not done in a while and they have deserved the notoriety that they received.  In fact, I am kinda disappointed with those, both locally and across the state, who going into last week were so high on Liberty yet have jumped off of the bandwagon with reckless abandon after a 3 point loss.
But to dismiss this as a "fluke" is doing a bit of disservice.

Henderwhat? Sorry, but your team is irrelevant - both this year and historically. You can troll all you want, but at the end of the day, you'll still be Henderson. Your one state title - with the easier five playoff game route - is drowned out by the ocean of mediocre and losing seasons. And what's that up ahead? Years and years of the same dull, forgettable, underwhelming teams for you to get bored with. Go Loins!

This thread has me eating lunch in my truck and lmao. ^this guy gets it. You can throw all the d1 d2 crap out the window. Teams in 4A D2 don't have to worry about 3A D1 or 4A D1 or any other division for that matter. When the playoffs start, you just got to beat the next one on your schedule.
