My son said the coaches said it would come down to points that Lamar con beats Foster by, if they can even beat them.

It doesn't matter to me, hopefully we get healthy and bring that intensity im Deer Park

Hopefully we can all get behind these boys as the push to the 1st GCM team to get past the 1st round.

What happened to the Chambers kid?  Is he going to be able to get back in good standing with in a day.  Sad to hear it happen, would like to see both teams at their best for this one.

Here is another interesting POV:

Look up Refugio in South Texas, they are a traditional powerhouse in the district with weaker teams.  Their coach has always had to pull his starters at halftime due to beating teams badly.  They had always made it several rounds deep but couldn't get over the hump to win it all.

Last year the coach came out and said why is fair that his kids only got to play a half when all the other teams kids were getting play 4 qtrs.  So last year he played his kids full games and they routinely beat people by 50pts.  It all paid off in the end because they were State Champions in Dec.

I think espn or si actually picked up on too through out the season.

I agree with this, I know some people in the surrounding area were upset about the Vidor/Lumb score because it was so high.  However, Vidor wasn't out to keep the score running up out of spite or anything else.  When you put 2nd and 3rd string in and they run the ball and continue to score because the opposing team just can't tackle what are you supposed to do??  Kneel at the 1 yard line and give the ball to the opposing team?

Agreed, tackle better.  That's part of what's wrong with the world today.  Make it the fault of the winning team.  Why not work harder to get better and prevent it from happening.  Sure there are teams that are flat out better but things can still be done.  Also why should the winning teams back ups be penalized and told not to score.

I'm sure I'm on the minority side, everyone is going to say how damaging it is to the feelings to get the score ran up on.  Work hard, use it as motivation and get ready for when your next chance comes around.

GCM vs Galena Park this week should decide the spot for the last playoff team.

Looking at the stats in the Chronicle, did Zellers get hurt again?  #3 the backup QB had several passing touchdowns.

I don't understand what Boyd has done to promote being mediocre.  I don't understand why anyone would not want to win.  I'm sure your about to lay out a whole list of good reasons he wants to he mediocre instead of winning cause that makes perfect sense.

When does the responsibility get put on the kids mine included for fumbling the football, dropping the pass, missing the tackle.  I want my kid to learn that life is tough and you have to make something for yourself & not excuses made.  There are great coaches on that staff supporting those kids.

So I guess I'm wrong for trying to support the team.  The teams of the past two years would have fallen apart during the TC/Dawson games when adversity hit.

Your idiot lack of execution and had chance to make plays cause us the game.  Come on and critizing the coach will get you a lot of points with your son.  Maybe he didn't play enough.  This game and tc game you just can't make little mistakes.  I look for GCM to run the table on the last four games.

Panama have you heard anything about how #3 is doing.  Also I was wondering toward the end of Zellers was hurt, he slid a couple of times instead of finishing the run.
