1. Bronco pride , you obviously don't have a clue what your talking about . It ain't the pitching , and sure wasn't tonight . It's the defense . Check the books , and see how many of these runs are earned . Score should be 5-5 now . But because if errors , broncos are now down 9-5 . But this team never quits .
2. 3 run bomb by Spartans tighten thing up in bottom if 6 th now 5-3 broncos .
3. 3 run homer by Spartans tighten things up in bottom of 6th now 5-3 broncos
4. 7-0 broncos . Brad Sowell pitched 1 hit shut out for broncos .
5. Dayton up 5-0 bottom first 1 out bases loaded . Pitching change for king .
6. Brad Sowell pitched into the top of the 6 th for Dayton . Tim weymeyer came in to finish it off . Don't know his name , but I believe # 1 pitched whole game for new caney .
7. Well Brenham fan and Critter . The first problem we have is it was a judgment call versus a rules call . We went into the bottom of the 8th inning down 3-2 to creek after leading entire game up until top of 7th 2-0 . Hats off to creek , they hit a 2 run shot to tie it up and ended up forcing extra innings . They scored 1 in top of 8th , we come up in the bottom of the 8th , and we have a player smash the ball to left , we actually thought it was gone . Ball clearly came off of wall and outfield caught it with his bare hand , turned and fired it into the shortstop . Meanwhile our batter/runner is coming into 2nd with what everyone including creek thinks is a stand up double . Low and behold , the umpires called him out , declaring the outfielder had caught the ball . Lets just say it got a little crazy for a few minutes after that . So to sum it up , we should have a runner in 2nd , next batter hits a ball to the gap which woul have scored runner on 2nd , batter ends up with a double . Should be tied back up 3-3 now . The runner on second ends up scoring from second on a play that resulted in an error on the throw to first on a ground ball play , which should have made it 4-3 broncos bottom of 8th inning ball game over no need to continue . And there you have it . I know there is nothing that can be done about it now . But what a horrible way to lose a game for the broncos . Baseball gods where looking after creek that night I guess .  8)
8. It's really sad when a mistake can cost a team a ball game of last nights importance between Summer Creek  , and Dayton . Any ideas on what can be done to prevent these types of mistakes from happening . Usually a bad call here and there is going to happen , and they generally don't have a direct impact on the outcome of a ball game . The blunder last night snatched the victory straight out of the hands of the Broncos .
9. Creek in 9 innings thanks to horrible call by umpires in the bottom of 8th inning that will keep Dayton from winning the game . Any takers on the bet . Lol  . Can only laugh about it now .
10. Dayton should have won the game 4 to 3 in the bottom of the 8th inning .. But thanks to one of the worst calls myself as well as everyone else in attendance at the game , has ever seen , creek was able to survive and go on to win in the 9th . When green scored in the bottom of the 8th on a throwing error to first by creek , that should have been winning walk off run for broncos . Really surprised the umpires made it out of there last night after costing the broncos the game .
11. Yes I was at that game too mike . Thought that may have been a jab at Crosby for not taking a knee 2 years ago when Jakari broke his leg . Doesn't make it right but what can you say . These boys aren't in college or the pros , they are still kids . What makes it even worse is some kids took a knee and were made to stand . All of this is my opinion , to each his own .
12. Already gone . It's also embarrassing against king the final is 24-6 haha . Setx i can think of a few choice words for you but I will refrain .
13. I have been a bronco fan for many years , never have u seen the broncos not take a knee for an injured player . I have seen it tonight . I am embarrassed to be a bronco fan at this point . Broncos deserve what ever it is they get .
14. Dern Bullet13 , yall are tearing the fish up . Not asking for exact lacation , but what area do you fish in ? .
15. Yea Bronco , i saw yor post on that thread as well . If i remember correctly it said the animal you are refering to only grows to approx 8 to 16lbs . The cat i saw was bigger than a german shepard . Very large cat . I had heard about panthers and cougars being in the river bottoms , and was very skeptical myself . This particular day changed my belief on the subject very quickly . I know what i saw , and now have no doubts they are there . If i would have had a rifle i would have killed the cat . To much livestock and children in the area for a predator like that to be around . Like I said though , I'm sure the high water in the river bottom at the time had a lot to do with the animal being that close .
16. Was reading a thread from a couple years back regarding this subject , and from my own personel experience . Yes they are in the woods and river bottoms around southeast texas . I hunt the trinity river bottom just outside of dayton in the kenifick area . The river bottom was pretty well flooded which pushes everything to higher ground . I was bow hunting the gas line that run through my property , when out it stepped . It was about 150yds way , and at first a thought the biggest bobcat i have ever seen . BUT , it turned in the tall grass and came towards me . It got to within approx 50 yards of me and turned to leave the gas line . That is when i saw the long tail and just how big it actually was . Guessing i would say it was 100lbs plus . Actually looked like a mountain lion would be my best discription . Needlesss to say i did not stay in the stand till after dark  being all i had with me was a bow . I have hunted this land prior to this encounter for 9 years , and since the encounter 3 years , and have yet to see it or another one since . So I say yes they are for sure in our area .

19. Thanks MIF04 , will do . And Good luck to the Sun Devils in the future .
20. Awesome job Sun Devils . I have heard a lot of great things about your organization . Are yall a invitation only team , or do you all hold tryouts for your squad .
From what i have seen so far , i would say its based more on popularity . Dayton has a kid that played flawless defense from pre-district all the way through district . 0 errors all year . He was put in the same category as a kid with double digit errors on the year , and below a kid that had double digit errors . Some of the plays this kid made were far from routine . He was the most solid infieder on the dayton squad , hands down .
You know they look at the numbers on offense first!! If you can't get it done at the plate your defense is going to be over looked!! If coaches vote on players that are not on their team then being picked for popularity is slim because look at the first year Versity players named to the teams..
Old saying goes defense wins championships !!!! If you cant play defense you dont stand a chance . Defense ( errors cost Dayton several 1 run games ) kept Dayton out of the playoffs . And if i remember correctly nobody tore it up at the plate except the armstrong kid . From what i heard , it was the sowell kid that had the hit that kept Daytons chances alive for a shot at the playoffs . If they are going to base district honors on what you do at the plate , then they shouldn't attach a position with the recognition . Dont think there was a better 2nd baseman in the district than sowell , and certainly not a more dependable infielder on the dayton team than sowell . Statistics will back that statement up . Think he is going to be a junior next year so he has time to get the recognition he deserves . Hate to see kids get robbed .
Easy there grasshopper . Long way from being naive or in denial . Honest mistake , i really dont remember KP being in our district 2 years ago .
I just don't see how you forget about someone in your own district.
I didnt keep up with baseball to much in 2010 . But as far as football , i dont remember us playing them at our house or theirs that year . Not saying we didnt , but  i sure dont remember . I am getting old though , so anything is possible .haha
24. I would say , Hunter Hearn as new comer of the year . Crosby , Davenport , pitcher Crosby , Bryce Armstrong OF- Dayton . Brad Sowell 2nd base Dayton . Not sure of his Name , But the SS for Barbers Hill . The 1rst baseman for the Hill or Gcm would be a good choice . Saw the stud pitchers for both Gcm And the Hill Struggle a little at times this year but probably still ended up having a heck of a year . When it comes down to it who really knows who the coaches will vote for . Good luck to all the young men , I'm sure you all shined at some point in the season . 19-4A ROCKS , AND WE MAY talk smack to each other during and after the season , but when it is 19-4a against other districts we all pull for each other . Gonna hate to see some of the teams leaving 19-4a next year . good luck to yall in your new districts .
