Whoever finishes 2nd in district will see FB Marshall in 2nd round.
What I'm seeing is that this district (17) will play 18 - Angleton, Friendswood, Galveston Ball, LaPorte, Manvel, Santa Fe, Texas City. Am I mistaken? (I very well could be).

Do we know date/time yet?

Taking halftime right now to let the field drain. Then they'll finish the 1:40 in the 2nd qtr and immediately begin the 3rd qtr.
Praying for the safety of all of the players! My son is already one of the injured on the sidelines. I don't want anyone else to join him.

I just remember going to City Hall picking ping pong ball in kindergarten. Lol
I remember this too! I passed three schools on my way to the school I "selected" to attend.

A former drill team member here and a band sister - now a coach's wife.
I have witnessed over the years several types of bands. Some know when to play, some don't know when to play. However, I attribute that mostly to their leadership.
Several years ago, 2 TDs were scored against us in the first 5 minutes of the game. That is NOT the time for the band to play "Wake Me Up When It's All Over."
I've also noticed that bands don't like to play to the home stands anymore - they play to their fans. Just this year, there have been 2 instances of this. When I was in high school, I remember letters being written to the editor of the local newspaper about how rude and disrespectful it was.
Also, at the end of the games, when both teams are playing their school songs (win or lose), each band should be respectful and let the other finish their song before beginning to play theirs. At one particular game, the visiting team completed their song, then the home team began playing theirs and about 30 second into it, the visiting team starting playing some other random song.
Last, when a band doesn't get to perform at halftime because of Homecoming festivities, they normally practice their marching competition piece after the game. I feel like the visiting team should stay and watch.
Just my opinions!

Let's get back to the topic of the thread: Hardin Football Preview.
"How it all plays out no one knows but one thing Hardin Hornets fans can count on is that this will be a team of hard work and high character that strives to bring winning football to the school for the first time since 2009."
Hard work and high character will pay off long after high school.
Looking forward to a great season. -
I'd like to send out a special thanks to the coaches and their families for the sacrifices that they make during this time of year. The coaches spend countless hours away from their spouses and kids in order to bring you excitement on Friday nights. Due to budget/staff cuts, these coaches are working harder than they have in the past. Please remember that a few kind words go a long way.
Coaches, thank you for all of your hard work and sacrifices!
Wives and kids, thank you for supporting your husband/father!
"Being perfect is not about that scoreboard out there. It's not about winning. It's about you and your relationship with yourself, your family and your friends. Being perfect is about being able to look your friends in the eye and know that you didnt let them down because you told them the truth. And that truth is you did everything you could. There wasnt one more thing you could've done. Can you live in that moment as best you can, with clear eyes, and love in your heart, with joy in your heart? If you can do that gentleman - you're perfect!" Coach Gary Gaines, Friday Night Lights -
