Diboll 4 woodville 3 final Diboll advances to 4th round
Diboll won the game in 8 innings but lost in the long run. There were a couple recruiters at the game hoping to pick up some talent, but left saying they didn’t need anyone of off Dibolls squad. They watch attitudes of coaches and parents.

Yes Coach Landry has had an outstanding career. Coached up many great athletes. He has kept Bridge City at the top of 4A baseball for years. Congratulations.
-
Yes, I believe they will. 2 of the losses they have in district were flukes. If they don’t make it there will be some playoff teams in region 3 breathing a sigh of relief.

who is the ace you are talking about is this the Sam Houston signee

Wow, sounds like y’all will have a better team next season.
-
Of the 5 seniors that you have listed how many are starters.
-
I love a spirited debate, you are right I remember the Kolec boys we beat them that year. You are right again they were beat out early in the playoffs. But your ace pitcher did have a huge impact moving up in the polls.
-
Who pitched against Carthage
-
They would have moved up regardless but they would not have jumped 18 spots if not for the 94 guy.
-
That’s what happens when you have a Dude at 94+

Orangefield- Bodin, Texas A&M signee topped out 94 against Jasper
Now that is a DUDE . Please show what makes these guys special.

Woodville. 9
#9 Harmony. 1

Depends on what your definition of Dude is.

Probably going to be a three way scrimmage. Newton has Lamar commit Westin Gibson on the mound that will make the scrimmage interesting for all parties.

Damn that would give Nederland 2 of the top 5 pitchers in East Tx then. Kendrick must have been flying under the radar, did he pitch much last year & dominate? or this is based on future potential?
I am basing the top 5 on college signings. These are the kids that have proven they have what it takes to get to the next level.
In no order. Noah Kendrick Samhouston State
Jason Bodin Texas A&M
Sawyer Bonin University of Houston
Logan Simmons University of HoustonBrayden Collins University of Houston
Cameron Edmonds University of Houston
Sorry these are the top 6 guys if there are some I missed please post. These are guys going the D1 route. I know there are more going the Juco route as well.
-
Noah Kendrick is no longer committed. He has signed with Samhouston State . 1 of the top 5 pitchers in east Texas.
-
Good looking kid. If he is interested in playing D1 baseball just keep these #s in mind.
Position players run 6.7 60 or less
Outfield depending on school 88 to 93 velo.
Infield 88 to 91
pitchers 88 +
catcher 82+ 1.90 pop or less.

Buna has a good core group but I just can’t see them beating Anahuac or Orangefield. They will face University of Houston Signee Cameron Edmonds every time they play and they will have to face Bodin the Texas A&m signee from Orangefield in both games as well. Buna just doesn’t have the pitching to do very much. D1 athletes are different animals.
-
Anahuac in my opinion has a better coach this year than last year Chase Franklin. Comes from a Baseball family. Cameron Edmonds. Probably will win every game he pitches. University of Houston signee with basically everyone returning from last season. They will be in the mix for the district championship.
-
Orangefield and Anahuac both should be in the top 20 probably top 10 both are loaded.
-
The same issues are present every year and are exposed in the second round, every year Before you can solve a problem you have to find the common denominator. What is the common denominator. Cameron Yoe, Rockdale, Grandview, now Hitchcock.

I keep hearing from everyone in the know saying Woodville will be better this year and the next 3 than last year. I guess my eye for spotting talent is fading. I hear we do have a freshman Quarterback that will make a name for himself this year.
