Money does play a roll in a schools ability to win, but mostly it is attitude. The community the school administration coaches and the parents of the kids. You can go to the UIL Football archives and look up the past state champions as far back as you like most all are from central northeast texas and west texas. When you do get one from east texas it is the same team every time. newton, yes their are a few exceptions. What is the problem when schools turn out college bound athletes and cant win.

I think reality has set in in woodville. will be very few fans in the stands.

Woodville will struggle to many injuries that require surgery Daniels and Hickman Shoulder Surgery.

Great job by the Warren coaching staff. A lot of people from Woodville saw this coming. 5-3 defence is perfect for shutting wdv down. The defensive line was great for warren they knew exactly what to do to cause the fumbles. warren also ran the wishbone to perfection against a weak defensive front. great game plan kids played hard and coaches are making a difference in Warren. Congratulations to everyone!

Why run the score up? What do you get from beating up your little Brother? Should have done that earlier in the season. :-\

Congrats to Kirbyville on the win. They were prepared. Major disappointment in Woodville.

I am not saying that it will get ugly. I am just saying that woodville is loaded with athletic kids. All spring long week after week college coaches were watching 3 to 4 kids work out in spring drills. From both small and large schools. IF players play and coaches coach to their potential it could get ugly. Big IF.

With the talent and speed Woodville has this could get UGLY.

That is funny. The speed they have is fast for Kountze,but they have to realize the rest of the district is much quicker. they have 1 kid that you can call quick. after that you have to use the term SLOW!

I just hope everyone from Kountze stays healthy. They just dont understand how strong and physical the Kids from Newton are. Years in the weight room make a difference.

Thats the thing about talent.Very few coaches and even fewer fans can recognize it.

Woodville should blow out Kountze by 50+ with the athletes they put on the field, but with the situation they are in, Kountze will win by 16 The wdv Kids have been put to far behind the 8 ball to recover.

Coaching makes all the difference in the world. Good coaches turn average teams into great teams.

With the beatings the backfield has been taking they have to be deep. last chance to right the ship. This is a make or break ball game for the Eagles.

I dont think kountze understands how much Shepards athletic program has improved. Small schools no longer want to play Shepard now the line up to play kountze. ;D
