I'm so paranoid now, I made sure I took my cap off and covered my heart before the anthem started prior to the Nederland vs Ozen game. I have to admit, I begin to focus on the players, coaches, and the crowd. I saw Nederland and Ozen at attention but not covering their hearts. I guess they were exercising  their personal right to express their freedom in their own way.

I f there is a 3-way tie in 21-3a, how will it be determined?

I had the opportunity to see and talk with my old coach (Walter Yates) and his old buddy former NBA'er Luke Jackson. They brought up some things that opened my thought s up on the playoff system. Three to four schools get picked in the 3-a, 4-a, or 5a schools for playoffs. Let me break this down a little deeper. You can be a  3rd or 4th place team and make the playoffs! Is that really a true accomplishment? Maybe in today's standards it is looked at in a favorable way. But there use to be days when you would have 3-5 team ties and there was a playoff to see who really deserved it. Thanks to true ol'schoolers for keeping it real. But times have changed and I can accept it but you just can't fool everybody, if you know what I mean ;)

HJ won't agree to play in a tournament of this magnitude. They'll say the Sabine Pass Tourney is priority.  ;D
