  1. Do not come on here and spout your lies to the good people of SE Texas and think they will believe it. Dayton actually had an offensive tackle that year that would not attend McNeese on a scholarship because they recruited a kid from Lumberton and he would not attend any school that would recruit people of that low of integrity. Thanks for proving his point once again. You seem to have left out why that all started. Lumberton was late hitting the Dayton back all night and they high-lowed a Dayton defensive end on a punt no less and completely tore his knee up. It took the kid 2 years to rehab from having every ligament in his knee tore from the illegal play. So before you go spouting crap at least tell everyone the whole story. I know from reading the other posts about Beard the people from Lumberton know what it is like to have a kid taken out by illegal blocks. One other question. How did it feel to take those butt kickings those years from Dayton? Still have issues don't you. Get help.
  2. Coach Olin has given Coach Stewart many thanks and acknowledgements for giving Lee Dayton's defensive scheme.
  3. If you remember the last time big Nederland played Dayton the score was 63-0 early in the third quarter.
  4. Most of us understood what you are talking about, some are just not that bright!!! But Dayton's offense is not built on the big play. Yes they get one every once in a while, but the players do a good job of staying with in their offense and executing and keeping the chains moving. There is nothing extravagant about Daytons offense. Just good kids working hard and doing the right things.
  5. I would assume they would make the playoffs and challenge for the district title like they have every year under Jerry Stewart Maybe, but it can't last forever, ask BH ;D Dayton and BH expectations are totally different you are saying BH played good on defense they gave up 527 yards and 27 first downs.
  6. You just can't let the kid have a good article about himself. You gotta come with the bad karma and all. AJ Dugat better watch out looks like he might get shut down
  7. That is the furthest thing from anyone in Dayton's mind. Friendswood will be hard to beat this week!!!
  8. yeah, you guys did ROLL in the lumberton scrimmage, for that you should win state! stop worrying about dayton, yall our not in our class, worry about HF this week
  9. If that were the case then Hanna would not have been stove up with cramps at the end of the half and barely able to move at the end of the game. Quit making excuses and lies. Lumberton played their starters until half time.
  10. Can I have some cheese with that WHINE. And you would have been the first one on here talking that crap if you would have even stayed close. Keep it going, you just remind everyone of what it was like in the past with Lumberton posters.
  11. It is always just a scrimmage when you get your butt handed to you.The Lumberton kids knew what was at stake. They wanted to prove that last year was not a fluke and Dayton wanted to prove that it was. Hanna told a couple of kids on the field that they, Lumberton, were going to show Dayton that last year was not a fluke. So all of you Lumberton people that want to claim just a scrimmage can let that dream die. It is good to see that some of the L-train do have a perspective on things. Yes it was just a scrimmage that meant a little more than the average scrimmage.
  12. Dayton treats every drill, every practice every contest like it is the state championship, that is the way the coaches and the players want it. It is instilled in them at a very young age. Is there any other way to play it.
  13. Oh my God we have a true to life Vidor fan on here talking crap about someoone being middle of the pack. You have got to be kidding me. Go and cheer on your lower end 4A team and be quiet. You should have rolled your a 4A School, WO-S is a middle of the pack 3A, which by the way beat you in A REAL GAME LAST YEAR AND THE YEAR BEFORE.
  14. Dayton's offense gave West Orange 14 points. THe big two (Cody Green and AJ Dugat)did not play in the 2nd half but had over 300 yards of offense in the first half. The 2nd team QB marched Dayton up and down the field in the second half but a couple of miscues kept the score close. Don't be fooled by the score WOS was outmatched tonight.
  15. Dayton has cancelled practice tomorrow. Will resume on Wednesday morning at 7:00.
  16. Doesn't make sense to who? You as a fan or the coaches? To a coach it allows them to beat the heat, and also allows them to go out that night and watch their upcoming opponents on the first allowable scrimmage date. It also allows those coaches to go out again on Saturday to scout if their upcoming opponents are scrimmaging on Saturday morning. Just because it does not make sense to you does not mean there is not a reason behind those times. The last time that WO-S came to Dayton to scrimmage which was 2004, this is exactly the way it was done.
  17. And all I can tell you is that this scrimmage is not being played in West Orange and he is not in charge of setting the date. He is just mistaken on the day, this date has been set for a long time. According to Coach Stewart in Dayton, where the scrimmage will be held, the scrimmage will be on Friday, August 15th, with the freshmen and JV beginning at 8:30.
  18. I saw that, but the scrimmage is on FRIDAY, not SATURDAY like you posted.
  19. You are right you did, but you posted the wrong information to people. It is on Friday August 15th not Saturday the 16th as you put in your post.
  20. Dayton and West Orange will scrimmage in Dayton on August 15th with the freshmen and JV beginning at 8:30 am. The varsity will begin their scrimmage around 9:30 or 10:00. There has been some wrong information on this board about the time and date of this scrimmage.
  21. Stowers did exactly the right thing. Glad for him. If the kid does not want to make a commitment to his team then he should be gone. No doubt that the kid has the right to run summer track and should, but he also knows that there is an expectation to be with his team for workouts in the summer. If he is not dedicated enough to do that then he is not dedicated enough to help the team, he is a me first person and we have seen what having me first people on that team has gotten them. Good for Coach Stowers. No one is above the TEAM... These coaches that try to make a kid choose a sport is crazy... These kids open opportunities for themselves by being versitile... They should have that right... As a coach you have a right not to play them, but not the right to tell them to quit some other sports... And if you are smart you play the BEST athletes that are not disciplinary issues... Stowers and all you other coaaches like that arew wrong... And that's how you loose players... I think Spikes will need a UIL Excemption to play at another school this year!!! Is that correct?
