  1. The UIL website has the enrollment figures that went into them last year. Those figures are used for the next two years. Dayton is down about 100 kids from this figure from what I understand but taht does not matter. These numbers will be used regardless.
  2. I think people in Dayton are hoping for a GP win by more than 3. If this happens the hill can hide no longer. What a gate that would be for the game. Think there would be some money placed on the game at all of the local plants around Mont Belvieu and Baytown?
  3. You are right. I bet they do not snap it to each other until Friday night each week.
  4. Dugat is now over 1000 yards for the season. You got your totals from the paper and those are not official. I am sure that Mosely's and Williams has more officially also.
  5. The last thing a person from Dayton needs to do is get on here and talk crap to Nederland. They hold a 5-1 advantage over Dayton since 1997. With most of their wins being blowouts. Enjoy the win over Central and be proud of your team but hold off on the trash talking. You all have been very gracious so far, don't ruin by acting like Lumberton. Nederland will be ready. Playoffs are on the line for themand they have a lot of pride over there. Should be a great game.
  6. That is Dayton's offense. They run that every play of the game. At the end of the game though they were not in a no huddle, they huddled up because the back ups were in I am sure.
  7. Dugat carried the ball only 10 times the other night for 218. Imagine if the Broncos would have left him it for 20 carries. I am not saying he would have hit 400 but he dang should have been over 300. There was no need in him taking shots when he did not need to. He will have to take them against the rest of the district I am sure. Mosely to me is the better back, and Nederland will make the playoffs, as long as he stays healthy.
  8. It is sad to come on here and complain about the refs. Yes they did miss some on Dayton but I can assure you they missed just as many against Lumberton with holding calls on the sweeps. It all evens out in the wash. Lumberton has some good kids and they will get better but without any speed it will hard to compete against anyone but Cleveland and New Caney.
  9. Would not have made a difference at all. They are still the same old Lumberton.
  10. Mike Dugat - Dayton 10 Carries - 218 yards - 3 TD's in a half and one series in the 3rd.
  11. Have you all noticed that the only people that talk smack about Lumberton are people from the golden triangle. The new kid on the block, Dayton, is keeping their mouth shut just watching all of this. What is everyone's deal with Lumberton? Where is the love?!?!?!
  12. You are right about one thing a kid from Dayton did say something to #44 AFTER halftime, and after 44 said what he did to his position coach. From what I heard the kid from Dayton wishes he had just kept his mouth shut. Neither one of them are right for saying anything to begin with. I hate to hear that he is so sick. You never like to hear about a kid who is hurting or so sick that it might cost them their season.
  13. #44 really needs to play this week after talking trash to a Dayton coach coming off the field at halftime. It would be a shame for him to miss the game after telling the coach "we will take care of you next week". And for all of you that will say "why was the coach down there anyway" he was down, along the fence in the endzone, trying to see how big Lumberton is, and was in no way antagonizing anyone.
  14. Hate to say this but the guy writing this article cannot read. Dayton's Stewart does not make that much according to the article mentiond. All he wants to do is stir crap up. He is not close to the top 10 and is number 31. Who is this person ?
  15. Dayton ended up scoring 5 TD's (2 in the game quarter)and giving up 1. Montgomery packed up the balls and went home after one quarter of play. It was supposed to have been 2 quarters.
  16. In the controlled scrimmage Dayton scored 4 TD's in 35 plays. In the half that was played Dayton scored 5 more TD's, one of those coming off of a fumble recovery which all turnovers were live in the half, for a total of 9. Foster scored twice the whole day, once on the freshmen and at the end of the game half against the JV.
  17. You are correct about the 2004 score, but last year the two tied 14-14 after 4 quarters.
  18. Here is the latest on Bronco field in Dayton. [Hidden Content] Things are looking good.
  19. It is pretty simple. Beaumont area chapter of officials is terrible. You damn sure do not go over and play Nederland or PNG and use their officials. Most of the officials live or work in that area. And they are famous for "helping' the triangle teams. West Orange will not even use beaumont officials for games over there. That should tell you something.
  20. It is not their fault, they are just dumb. The turf is not purple. The endzones are purple with Dayton and Broncos in opposite endzones in white. The playing field is green. Don't worry. This year: New field and track, new lights and fencing. Next year: NEw seating, parking, concessions and bathrooms. The school has bought all of the little houses that have been around the stadium forever. Not tha ones across the street. The new parking lot will be where the old baseball field is and across the bus road back there. When all renovations are made over the next two years it really should be one of the nicer stadiums in the area.
  21. Dayton does not do 7 on 7. The last thing Coach Stewart wants is some daddy telling his kids what to do. For that matter when a 2A school from north texas can win a 7-7 state champioinship with their guard playing QB, 7-7 doesn't mean a whole lot. Besides it has not helped Baytown Lee be successful in true football.
  22. Mike Dugat and James Maxwell have been offered by Univ. of Texas at El Paso. James is the least known of these two but he is the young man that returned the punt against Ozen. Congratulation to these two young men.
  23. Dayton will remain in the Golden Triangle by a 5-4 vote. Let's play some ball ya'll!!!!
