  1. There really is no question here. We are talking about QB and leading your team in that role. Brandon was a great athlete that played the QB position as a RB. Cody was the ultimate dual threat QB to come through SE Texas. There is only one that has thrown for over 3000 yards and rush for over 1500 yards and account for 60 TD's. All in the same season. Not much discussion needed...
  2. Thank goodness it is not ENGLISH class!!! Sheperd and Tarkington are half teams--together they make one Ain't that Algebra??
  3. Dang. Liberty won 2 games. I apologize. Shepherd and Tarkington I guess. Should have known better.
  4. Liberty math. Hard to explain sometimes. Of course that 1 player does equal the number of wins they had last year right.
  5. Liberty is looking for a 1st scrimmage. Dayton and West Orange are hooking up on that date, why not come join in the fun? I am sure something can be worked out for a jamboree.
  6. You must be getting some move ins from different places because that JV and freshmen team taht you all sent over here was slower than death. Your poor freshment team got 3 td's put on them by Dayton's RB and he did this on 3 CARRIES!!! No one cares about Lumberton. You had two good years, well 1 good year and a year where you got beat by the 2nd place team from DISTRICT 19-4A.hahahahaha. The more things change the more they stay the same for poor little Lumberton. Go back to being the stepchild.
  7. Tecnically it was not a pass play so there was no sack and the reason that Dugat was not in front on the pooch kick is because their kicker could put it anywhere he wanted. If Dugat moved up then he would kick it over his head. IF Dugat was back then they would pooch it short and the Broncos would get the ball in great field position with Ploch catching the ball on the sideline.
  8. Scout.com has no mention of him as a tech committment, or even a tech recruit. There s nothing on Rivals about him either.
  9. You are right Lumberton got LUCKY against Livingston in district. And Lumberton is LUCKY they did not have to play Dayton agin, and they are LUCKY to be playing basketball and getting a head start on at least 2 of the football playoff teams from the triangle.. LUCKY, LUCKY, LUCKY...you are so right!!!!
  10. Where was the big 40+ point blowout? Everyone thought I was crazy on the prediction thread when I was picking Livingston. A couple different plays late in the game and it would have been a different outcome. Dayton is a good team but the looking forward to the state championship game is going to catch them one night. Best of luck Dayton and congrats to Livingston on a great year. How do you know they are looking ahead. You dont, all you do is run your mouth. I promise you the coaches and players take one game at a time. Maybe if yall didnt look ahead yall would still be playing. Dayton is looking ahead because of what people write on the message board, give me a break.
  11. Dayton will play Elgin in DAYTON on Fridat at 7:30. Elgin wanted to flip home and home and Dayton won the toss. See you in Dayton on Friday!!!!!!! ;D
  12. No, they really did. It is up in their school and fieldhouse. A former student at Dayton took a picture of it and sent it as a text message this morning.
  13. Oh boy, a smart butt from Crosby. The last time you all got happy was when Jakarai's brother, John Gable got moved to varsity as a freshmen and you bet us then as well, on the freshmen level. But oh, Lord when that Sr. group got to play last year, it really was not a game. It will be the same way with this group. So keep telling yourself it would not have mattered, it will help in the group therapy for your case of Dayton envy.
  14. So you think the kids crept out of the window and their parents, guardians, adult, knew nothing about where they were going. If that is the case I hope they are not only suspended for one game but grounded for a month for running away from home without letting their parents, guardian, or adult know where they were going. Get real. Someone knew they were going and instead of saying no you have practice this afternoon, they basically said go ahead, you don't need to practice with your team for a game coming up. You can have fun and let your team mates get ready for the game. Isn't that life lesson being taught right now? I think you've left the infield on this one unless you've got more information then we do. Still can't see how you can call the parents out on this one.
  15. Someone allowed them to go and hurt the team. Whoever that someone is did not take the opportunity to teach a life lesson and allowed these players to put their selfish gains ahead of the team. You can try and save face as parents but at some point in time it is the responsibility of an ADULT to teach their young people how to act and how to make good decisions. My kids will screw up and so will yours and when they do it will be my fault as well as yours if we allow it to happen and look the other way.
  16. Shows their commitment to team, doesn't it. Also shows their parents commitment to teaching their kids about the team as well and the importance of making a commitment. It is sad that a coach has to act in their stead when teaching players that team comes first.
  17. I hope that the Lumberton players have better mental toughness than their adults do. They have let the people of Dayton get in their minds and under their skin and they have completely forgot about Nederland. I think Lumberton will win because Nedrland plays zero defense but you never know. Honestly it does not matter if they win or lose, Dayton will play whoever comes out of that district and be ready as a team. The townspeople of Dayton do not speak for the players or coaches. Those young men will be ready for whoever and will not take anything for granted.
  18. Sure they will. Lumberton is well coached and the players and coaches in Dayton know the kind of game it will be. A tough physical game in the trenches, and Dayton receivers running open in the secondary.
  19. Well Dayton kept up their end of the bargain last year for a rematch. What happened to Lumberton? That is right, a beat down by Waller. And who did Waller get beat by the nexy week???? That's right Dayton. We thank you for that loss last year, it helped us get to where we needed to be. And we will thank you for keeping up your end of the bargain for a rematch this year, that is if you can.
  20. I am just glad Friendswood got back into the playoffs. Friendswood should be playing in the state semifinals this year. Anything less and their year should be a failure. Who was that kept you all from making the playoffs last year? Oh that is right, TEXAS CITY. hahahahahahhaahaha..
