1. #27 runs scared? He had 17 carries for 86 yards. Avg. 5.1 a carry  1 TD .plus a 72 yard TD return.
2 corners are weak? The defense gave up 273 passing yards to a Alabama commit  who has 728 passing yards in 3 games averaging 242 a game passing with 11 td's.
3.ran around end all night? How did #7 the fullback end up with 14 carries for 80 yards and a TD?
4.D-backs too slow. We had two sophomores back there starting there first game due to some injuries. Going against a quality QB and a team with 1512 total yards in 3 games.  That's a avg. Of 500 yards a game.
6. Politically correct? Get your facts straight before u start calling anyone out. Especially kids.by the way my name is Corey berg.

Spot a Team like Channelview 35 points and bring it back like that - Impressive.  
You've played two teams who could hammer anyone in 21-5A OR 22-5A, and played fairly well, even with the mistakes.  Eliminate them and you'll see several playoff games.  I'm a believer. 

Glad to see the boys kept playing after being down 35-0 early.

You eliminate a few of those fumbles and we win that game. I would love to see us pass a little more, but I want to see it on 1st or 2nd down. Not always on 3rd and long and they know the pass is coming. 

Those kids from Bay High were huge.  They has 6 guys on the line that weighed 250 or more. 3 were pushing 300. They also won again this week 41-0. 

Hmmmmm there seems to be a lot of crow to be served up on this thread.

The Black Pearl has been refitted, sails repaired, holes patched, repainted. Returning 32 kids this year and two very productive scrimmages, I expect to see more from the Pirate fans!!! I'm really liking Colby Humble (Jr.) running the offense with Haylen Leckelt, Blake Rowe and the rest of the weapons we have. Defense looking really sharp as well with Andy Laughlin and Zach Hester. Panama City, you better get ready for the Jolly Roger you're about to tangle with. Get ready to meet the slot-T ran to PERFECTION!

The best I've seen us look since 2011. Left when we were up by three scores. Colby Humble look great QB; defense very salty....only saw Ofield make 1 first down. Lots of weapons on offense, looking forward to WOS next week.

I am excited about our team this year!!!  We've got so many returners it makes me happy!  Less than 30 days boys!

They don't have Academy they barely have internet, they run to McDonalds to use their wifi just to comment on this board. lol

Wasn't the year we hoped for but enjoyed every game. Gotta love the determination and enthusiasm this young team showed and look forward to next year. I'm not a home grown Pirate but been around for I believe this is my seventeenth year following the Pirates. I will say coming from a small town program (2A ball) I don't believe I've seen more dedicated and loyal fan base than Pirate fans, win or loose. It's been a privilege watching this program and this district (Nedeland, PNG, Central, Ozen, Lumberton) week after week. Now it's playoff time and I hope I get watch some more great football from the representatives from our district 22-5A.

Good game Pirates. Your youngsters are impressive. They will be a force to be reckoned with for the next couple of seasons. Coach Matthews was very animated tonight. If he took a couple more steps he'd been in the huddle! I guess he was channeling coach Hooks...
The Indians looked much better tonight. Except for the fumble (which shouldn't have been a fumble) there were less mistakes and penalties than weeks before. We won't be able to give up anything to be successful in the playoffs. Great game guys! Let's do it again next week!
