  1. The Pope could be looking at him, I've seen him play, he's not even in the same zip code of 4.37, that's laughable.  And to use the PNG coaches as a reference is a joke, all my grandkids are the cutest too.  Kid is fast, maybe 4.5ish, and yes he should be getting touches on offense, why does your head coach who knows more than Bill Walsh himself not have the ball in his hands at least 4-5 times a game???
  2. Read Neumann's comment at the end, that tells you everything you need to know.  We've been seeing Nederland win but play sloppy football, the worst thing you can do is peak too soon.  Last night was a dominating performance in what could have been a letdown game following the hype of MCM.  What you saw was the most complete performance of the season.  Nederland is just getting this thing going.
  3. Interesting, someone was posting the 1975 PNG scores by game the year they won the state championship... and by no means am I putting nederland in the state championship.  But, it you look at their scores, throughout the year, you will see some similarities.  Wonder if the barber shop back then had folks bitchin cause they didn't blow people out big enough on their way to the crown?

    19-4A wins 3/4, maybe even a sweep.
[/quote]Who you got in the Crosby vs LCM game? KP won their district last year and would be fighting for second place with Vidor in 20-4a. It's real over here and that was just an example. Crosby did what they had to do in  game where they played sloppy. Wouldn't beat Dayton, SC, or BH playing like that but it is what it is.

LCM is a BETTER football team than Crosby.  Played both of em and it's decidedly so.
  5. PNG's freshman QB is one of the best I've seen at that age, that has nothing to do with coaching, plus you allowed 2 returns for TD's how is that coaching.  You may not have the best coaching, but you got flat out beat by PNG, give it a rest, you'll have another chance.
  6. He's talking about when Ned sophs and PNG sophs were Freshman.  Nederland dismantled PNG's current sophomores in that game, much like this years PNG freshman dismantled Nederlands.  In my opinion, Nederland has the upper hand next year.  The following year when the current sophs are seniors, and the current Freshman are juniors, you'll have a coin flip as the PNG freshman will be strong contributors.

The PNG / Nederland 8th graders are pretty even, with possibly a nod to PNG, but I think that CO/Central class will see a huge leap in overall ability when combined, Central really has some players.

Nederland 7th grade gets the nod over PNG based on where they stand at this point and how games played out this year, but a lot could change since they are still so young.
  7. Just seems like a lot of folks tweakin their elbows pattin themselves on the back... I like to see stuff proven on the field before I go spoutin off that's all.  And by the way... Lumberton wins a lot in STJFL too.. sometimes the translation is lost, so forgive me for wanting to see the business on the varsity football field... like I am currently seeing this year's group do.  Where do you get 4 soph starters also.  I've got Seay and Barton, of which only Seay plays all the snaps, Barton is a package player, no discredit to him he is going to be a great one.  Johnson has played extensively against the slot/wing T offenses, but not against the conventional offenses.  Barton/Johnson will be great players in time, just don't add up to the 4 starters mentioned.
  8. Hope this year's soph class can live up to the hype.  Cuz the actual best class Lynch ever had, which is this years Senior class... created their history and is still doing so.  Would love to see it from these sophs, but right now it's the seniors time, they own this team and hopefully future teams can aspire to be what they've been over the past three years.
