1. I have never seen a group of fans so INFATUATED with a team they don't even think they are going to face since they are so mediocre and non-explosive... as Summer Creek fans have been trying to dissect and critique the Nederland team.  You think they are a little distracted?  You Humblers better keep your eyes on the road, it's BESET on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.... keep your eyes on the road boys, good luck, you'll need it to get to the regional final and you may not even see Nederland there.  Dogs don't have SC in their sights....yrt, it's a play at a time for them boys from Nederland.  That's how we gotta play it when you're as UNIMPRESSIVE as we are.

I'm seriously gonna laugh and call all of y'all out when Dayton doesn't get more than 7 points on Ned's defense.
Great Call!!!

Our defense is awesome!!!!!  I will miss these guys next season.

    8)

Don't forget soph, J. Johnson, he's played well when given snaps this year.
Half of them will be back.  Kimler, Sage, Washington and Malveaux will all be back.  Dont forget about Mayfield, tore his ACL in pre-season, but could be better than Wood and Stampley.

  3. Here is my prediction of how the game unfolds.  Vidor is a frustrating team to play.  They run that Slot T crap and bore you to death with 3-4 yard gains.  You have to be SUPER disciplined to stop it... you can't be athletic and big and fast to stop it, you MUST be DISCIPLINED.  I think the Pirates frustrate the CRAP outta SC which will put pressure on that high flying offense.  This is my analysis, and this is why the game will be close.  I think Nederland is a better team than Vidor, but I think SC will have more trouble with Vidor because of the numbing affect of the Vidor offense.  Them boys play pretty good defense too.  I see a much closer game than some folks in SE TX who saw SC deystroy PNG... that game has nothing to do with what will take place this weekend.  Vidor and PNG this year are about as night and day as you can get.

Word around school??? They rolled that out last Friday, a little scout candy.  Neumann is about to unload the business here, I think he knows the ceiling of this team, they will not step on the field against a team that they can't beat if they play their game.  Could be an interesting ride here.

The Reservation seats more than the Butch.

This isn't to pick a fight, but have any PNG fans tried to utilize the PNG visitor's side?  It is ridiculous regarding access to the stands and then aisles that lead up to your seats... it is not what I would recommend for a good sized playoff game where they might bring any kind of crowd.  I'm actually surprised it's not a fire hazard.
  6. When was the last back to back undefeated district champion crowned in this 4A district?  Tell me again that Nederland doesn't have anything to play for...  After hearing the Neumann didn't have the goods to win a district championship at all... don't think for one minute he's gonna take his foot off the pedal to put up back to back undefeated championships and stick it in his critics proverbial faces.  Now he'll probably blow it off in interviews, give us the coach speak, play it all down and take the high road, but there's a fire that burns in this guys gut and it's what has fueled this program over the past two decades, folks have a hard time figuring it out, but's absolutely why Nederland will come out on FIRE Friday night.  Last home game for a senior class that has probably started as many varsiry downs as MOST in school history, history on the line, a legacy that will last, silencing the critics... Neumann will have it all at a boiling point come Friday night at 7:30.
  7. The part I have a problem with is the incessant whining, throwing hands up because we disagree with the coaches decision, what is this kindergarten?  Little Larry didn't want to play the same game as us so we pout in the corner?  Make it sound like he's making decisions as a personal attack, kind of childish isn't it?  As fans we cheer, we can disagree with things that are done, we talk about how we would do it, but don't you think some of this is being taken it a little far?  Neumann seems to have a plan for these last two games, how about we just try to stay awake and pray for no injuries.  Some of this is absurd.

In my opinion, if Nederland had been up 42 to 0 at that point (like we should've been), he would've punched it in and let the starters rest the whole second half.  He had obviously not been pleased with the 2qtr performance, we stunk up the joint offensively, so he knew they were going to get a couple of series in the second half to be where he wanted them to be before taking them out.  That's his call right there.  The kids didn't play well in the 2Qtr, dominated the rest of the game, but stunk up the 2 qtr, why not let him coach his team how he needs too?  I'm not blaming or supporting anyone, it just is what it is, the guy needed to see a little more out of his starters, knows the game overall is decided, didn't see the need to punch it in.  How about he says in his mind, we're working on a two minute drill right here with no timeouts, if the kids don't execute, time runs out and we go to the half.  Some of us just won't be pleased unless it's done EXACTLY how we want it done.
  8. Nederland could run dive over the guard left, dive over the guard right all night... and we could let Raider42 call the plays for Lumberton... and the outcome wouldn't change much.  It's not always the X's and O's.  More often than not, it's the Jimmy's and Joe's, that's what country was saying, and I would tend to agree with him.  L-train will be back, they have a solid community and youth program.  I thought after that playoff run where they beat LaMarque, they would turn the corner, but it's tough to build a consistent winner.

The Pope could be looking at him, I've seen him play, he's not even in the same zip code of 4.37, that's laughable.  And to use the PNG coaches as a reference is a joke, all my grandkids are the cutest too.  Kid is fast, maybe 4.5ish, and yes he should be getting touches on offense, why does your head coach who knows more than Bill Walsh himself not have the ball in his hands at least 4-5 times a game???
Ok, so the info comes from the coaches and most of the kids that were there when he did it. He has been timed more than 8 times at that speed. Is it a combine type 40 with the laser watches, no, but it ain't that far off. He does have some official times in the 100 that are faster than Ceaser from LCM. He is running track this year and is expected to go to State. He didn't run track last year because he wanted to focus on baseball. We will have to see. He has been consistently running 4.4 flat for awhile now. You said you have seen him, have you been there when he has run the 40? Or just on the football field. Did you see him against WOS on the 100 yard return. Nobody could catch him. He doesn't get alot kicked his way because most coaches have scouted him. The St. Louis Cardinals have contacted his dad so for a high school kid he must have something going. Watch him steal bases on the baseball field and then question his speed. He is getting alot of looks for baseball and not football because he is small. He has had some calls for football though. Many people here have asked why he is not on offense. He said it is because as a freshman he dropped alot of passes, but he's a senior now, I'd give him a try.
I'm not dissing the kid, I'm saying he's not sub 4.4, he's just not.  Thanks for the resume' though, he's a talent, but he's never run a sub 4.4 in his life, I can guarantee that. Hope to see him in the World Series in a couple of years playing with the Cardinals... Oh and by the way, I'd put him in a foot race tomorrow with Michael Shaw, you remember him, the kid that buckled him on that TD pass, and bet the house.
