The other night. Two players from same team went for a loose ball. They called a jump ball and possession went to other team. 

Coach Jim Dixon passed away on Thursday march 9. He was the basketball coach at Tarkington for all of the 1990’s. If you knew Coach Dixon you knew a great man. I was blessed to get play for him in 1995-1997. He was great coach. I challenge anyone who reads this thread to reach out to one of your old coaches and tell them what an impact they made in your life.

Yeah, 63-13 mid-3rd.  Hawks out of the press and putting the bench in early 

It will be a good ballgame. Livingston has some kids that can get hot from behind the arc and make up for some ball handling deficiencies. The gym up there is nice but can give visitors fits if they aren’t used to shooting in it. If HJ wins this one it will be on the strength of their defense. 

Winner of 22 will face diboll in 3rd round.

Beat every team that year in the playoffs by a avg of 23 points.

Lol the dominant lions would be winning these district games by probably a avg of 25 ppg. I have high hopes for the future of these young lions but right now they aren’t close lol IDK who said they were.

Kountze is much improved from a couple of years ago but they are lite years away from the old dominant lions. Joubs doing a good job with what he has to work with.

In the late 90’s Coach Hand took a very young Huntington team to Woodville who was state ranked. He spread the floor the entire first half. Woodville never came out to challenge the ball and Huntington won that game 5-3. The best and worst coaching jobs I ever heard of and they were both the same game. You do what you gotta do.

On another note, this didn't seem to affect people not showing up at the game. Place was packed. Maybe it is the future.

And these lions were not expected to even make the playoffs this year 
 
been an over achieving year and still going strong 

Let’s not forget that EC team has 5 or 6 juniors that played on the team last year that made a deep run and 2 of them were starters 
 
Kountze starts two freshmen and 3 seniors with 2 games of playoff experience 2 years ago 
 
those lions are young and will only get better and better over the next couple years

Couldn’t the defense just stand close enough to get a 5 second call

At a certain point it just gets easier to stay home 🤦‍♂️
