HJ 19 Longview 15 halftime HJ has several players missing today. I think some are taking ACT’s.

Pretty good coach on the Shelbyville bench this year too. Shelbyville had a great coach last year and when he left they gotta heckuva replacement.

It’s more of an exaggeration than a stretch. McClure is a good shooter but I wouldn’t compare his game and Bush’s. Players like Bush don’t come along very often.

Man I hate to see this. I know it’s done in the best interest of the kids. I sure hope they get this virus under control before the UIL starts canceling seasons again.

I’m basing my opinion strictly on a recent one game eye test. I brought them up because they seem to be overlooked . I know some nights everything you put up goes in and that may have been the case the night I saw them. Looking at the box scores from their games it looks like they got a couple of kids that fill it up pretty often. I think overlooking them would be a mistake.

I know this isn’t gonna be a popular response on this thread but I ain’t sure if the Tigers are going to be as successful in their district this year as most on here think. I haven’t seen Bridge City yet this year but I’m familiar with what they had coming back. The 4 teams in question Silsbee, Lumberton,Bridge City and LCM will beat each other up on a regular basis. The difference will be stealing some on the road and it takes young teams awhile to learn to do that. I haven’t seen much mention of LCM , they can be the most dangerous of this entire district. They have a solid PG, two very good shooters and if they get some post presence they could be the favorite. Lufkin will be a good measuring stick for the Tigers. They are pretty solid. Just my opinion for what it’s worth.

I was always under the impression if the ball left the hands of the offensive guy from behind the arc and went in it was a 3. How in the world could the official claim to know intent

That was all grade school and junior high stuff. His older brother attended HJ but I’m pretty sure they moved before Earnest went in to high school. From everything I’ve heard both he and his brother are really good kids.

The mans a good coach but I ain’t sure he’s ready for Springfield yet. He was definitely matching wits with another good one last night. It sounds like it was a good game, that should be enough.

They were 500 in district last year and finished 4th. Hold off on the gold jacket, good lord.

This district is going to interesting with the Tigers rebuilding. LCM, Lumberton, BC and Orangefield will all be very capable. I don’t see a dominant team in this one. Y’all better keep an eye out on Jeffcoat’s bunch they just may be the dark horse.

They will definitely be in the hunt in that district. Post play and depth aren’t where it needs to be but shooting is not a problem in LCM lol

Was Elliott #22 ? I wasn’t charting anything just watching but that kid is as good a pure shooter as I’ve seen in a long time.

I can remember carrying teams to play in Kountze in the summer 10-15 years ago. Those teams they had back then don’t come along very often. You had to bring your a game to keep from flat out getting embarrassed. I think this 8th grade group will challenge the regional threshold if they stay together. So many kids move these days it may be hard to keep em together
