  1. This is 2 different questions? The MVP would be the best player in the area. That would be Netherly in my opinion,The one who makes the biggest contribution to his team would be Tramain Thomas of East Chambers,he makes the difference in them being very good or average.Either way both these guys can flat out play.

  2. Netherly was the best player in this distict. His games he missed cost him the MVP award. Its hard to argue with Donahoe being named,he can flat play and HJ rode him this year. This team must have been picked before the state tourney if the kid that went to stands made first team.Broc Haymon was definitely BC best player.Kid could shoot the trey like nobody else. This district will be brutal next year with W/O ,Jasper, Silsbee and HJ ALL BEING STRONG.

  3. Kountze will be loaded and will be the favorite,E/C has Tramain and Preston so they have a good nucleus.Dont know who else will step for them, they were not real deep on the varsity level but had a good looking player on the freshman team, if he develops he will fill 1 spot. Hardin was pretty solid this year and will compete for a playoff spot. The dark horse will be Warren, they have everyone back. They will be led by Sims and Granger.Deweyville will be pretty solid if the Jacksons stay,if not they are in big trouble. If its not to late the AD ought to apologize and keep Coach Jackson-if he goes so do their chances.JMO

  4. I can actually remember when not everyone on the teams made all district.Plain truth 2 best players were named MVP the rest of the first and second teams were pretty close.I saw all these teams play and quite frankly B/C was not in the same class team wise or individually. If they had 3 dominant players they would have been better than 3-7,that is not a knock on the girls just a fact. They do have 1 girl that is a flat out hustler and a very good player the others have potential and if they are not seniors will definitely get better.W/O was about as good a 3A club this year as I have seen, I will take the coach of the year arguement 1 step further Ancelot or Sims would have put that group in the final 4.JMO :

  5. i know E/C was short 2 starters when we played them this year but Oldham and McDonald are graduating and I havent seen any real good young players to take their place.I will give Thomas and Guillory their credit they are very good I just dont see any dominant young players who will guarantee a playoff spot. They are very well coached as are several of the teams in the district so it should be lots of fun.Kountze will be loaded with Sr- talent while I look for Jr- Thomas to carry E/C,Jr-Jacksons(2) and Bland to lead Deweyville,Jr-Sims to lead Warren.I dont know much about Anahuac or Hardin or Buna anyone know what they have coming back?

  6. Kountze,E/C,Deweyville and Warren all return just about their whole squad in basketball. Not sure about Anahuac or Hardin and I know all these teams beat them in basketball this year.Football E/C is always tough,Deweyville returns a lot as does Warren. It should be fun.I dont see anyone going undefeated in any of the sports.

  7. Coop, Just about all Warrens Players are back. They started 4 sophs this year most of the time. They had 2 juniors who started some but both had injuries that took them out of 5 or 6 games in mid season.Their leading scorer was a soph-Paul Sims-he had alot of 20 pt plus games and averaged around 16 for the year. They have several good young players who will also challenge for spots next year. One is a transfer who is a sophomore who could not get a release this year even though he lived in Warren all his life. They will be in a extremely tough district next year but they should be pretty good.10 of their top 12 players are underclassmen and all their starters are back.
