I guess your right Hardin will get better and better while Buna sits around and dreams about the glory days.WH has about 3 kids on the sideline so it may not be conditioning with them.They are just having to play both ways against teams with a lot more players.Tubbs ran the ball pretty well against us.

Tramain can pass with anyone in this district.Buna and EC will both continue to improve barring injury.I don't think they will just rest on there reputation.Both are very physical football teams.The team that can win one on the road will be the club that sneaks in the last playoff spot.

They are improved but there not in EC or Buna's league yet,but they could make the playoffs.There speed at the skill positions may get them past Deweyville.We won't have to wait long to find out.

No disrespect but its gonna be alot tougher against EC and Buna than it is against Groveton and WH.I don't see anyone goin 8-0 in this district ,not to say someone couldn't there are just a lot of clubs that are real even.

WH will make the playoffs.If they stay healthy I think they will win that district in football.They are playing up with a pretty small roster but that will benefit them when they start district.Give em some time to grow up after losing Letsinger,Simmons and CO. they will be fine.

These 2 are definitely playing better this year.Unfortunately so are EC and Buna.I honestly don't know who gets the nod for the 3rd playoff spot.Hardin seems to be playing good offense while Kountze is pretty well rounded.Anahuac seems to be better also.Warren has a solid defense but is having trouble scoring points.Deweyville is still a question to me ,they should be pretty good but there competiton has been weak to say the least.Looks like a pretty good battle for the 3rd spot.Good luck 24aa.

Not a good night for the Warriors.They had the ball inside Woodvilles 10 ,4 times and came up empty.Never looked like they were in sync tonight of course Woodville's "D" might have had something to do with that.Defense played pretty well but stayed on the field way to much giving up 2 late TD'S.Woodville was the better club tonight.

I may be wrong but I dodn't see anyone playing in the 80-90 point range this year .Warren does have some pretty athletic kids though.McBee,Swinney,Nash and Young can all get up and down the floor pretty quick.

EC is not a run and gun team either.I wouldn't expect Warren to try and run and gun with anyone.They will be very well coached and play to there strengths just as Kountze and EC will do.Both Warren and EC's games last year the scores were in the 60 point range.While Kountze did score in the 80's against Warren it was simply because they had the better club.They were hangin a 100 on everyone else in the district.When EC beat them they controlled the tempo and the score was in the 60's.My point is good basketball teams don't have to run and gun,they play to there strengths,just look at Ozen last year for an example.You may be right EC and Kountze may blow Warren out we'll just have to wait for the season to see.Just FYI EC and Warren have played 5 times in the last 3 years with EC having the edge 3-2.Kountze and Warren have played 2 and Kountze leads that 2-0.I think this district is gonna be close 1-6(sorry Buna) I wish it started today.Good luck to all the 24aa clubs.

I don't know many names on the Silsbee club except Shannon but I saw them play alot this summer.They will be solid again this year. HJ won't be far from where they were last year.While Donahoe was without a doubt special they will actually be quicker this year.They return Burrell,Bernard,Payne,Weldon,Fontenot,Guillory,McNeely and Sungren.Don't feel sorry for them,they will be fine.

I know the High Island kids are disappointed.That's a shame especially for the Seniors.I hope they get it put back together quick.

I believe it redfan but I guess technically I'm from Warren.They better not overlook this bunch.

He was the main piece of the puzzle.He averaged well over 200 yards a game and scored somewhere around 25 TD'S.No disrespect to this years team but thats hard to replace.

You could be exactly right.I think Hardin and Kountze have improved more than anyone knew.While Deweyville will be in the hunt I don't think they got better from last years club and the battle for 3rd was close last year.I think it's gonna be even closer this year.Any of the remaining teams could get the 3rd spot D-ville,Hardin,Anahuac,Kountze or Warren.Should be fun to watch for us fans.Good luck to all 24aa teams and I hope they all avoid the injury bug.

Silsbee did have a good defensive club last year.I think HJ is gonna fly to the ball really well this season.Josh Payne from HJ would get my nod as one of the best man defenders in the area.

If theres a tougher one I haven't seen it.The Lions are just about unbeatable there.

Warrens guards looks usually came off of screens.While I'll agree 100% that the game should be played inside out,the ball has to come back out when the defense collapses.That didn't happen last year.Warren had some excellent shooters last year who in some cases only took 2 or 3 shots a game,for them to be successful this year that can't happen.While Granger was definitely a hustler he didn't get many boards off missed 3's most of his offensive boards came on his own putbacks.Kinney was a huge part of that club last year but I think they will be better this year as a team.Regardless he was the only player that Warren lost and they return 7 of their top players.Should be a great race,the previous poster was right,it's Kountzes until someone beats em.

Silsbee,HJ for sure, not to sure about Lumberton this year they lost a ton of talent.The biggest surprise this year though will be the Lady Eagles from Woodville,you will see this group in the regional tourney this year and they are still young.

Please change your name or learn what your talking about.Paul and Sims are the same kid.Granger wasn't anywhere near Warrens most dominant player.While Sims hit a ton of threes he also went to the line 105 times and shot 82% from there so he must have been doing more than shooting 3's.Matt Andrews also played a big part in Warrens success last year ,even though he didn't play as a sophomore ,along with guards McBee,Nash and Swinney.Twelve total points seperated Warrens top 3 scorers last year,if they get the ball in there shooters hands this year they will be sucessful.They also shot 74% from the FT line as a team(not to shabby)Bray hasn't gone anywhere for the lions and EC still has the big dog in Thomas so this district will be fun.While anyone has a chance to upset anyone in basketball ,looking at returning players I think EC,Kountze and Warren have the strongest clubs.

I really don't think anyone is going undefeated in this district.Whats it gonna take to make the playoffs here.I'm saying 4-2 but someone may win a flip and get in at 3-3.From the early scores I think EC and Buna will be a war for the top spot,I also think Hardin and Kountze may have the speed to sneak up on some folks.Warren,Deweyville and Anahuac could also steal one on any give night.This is gonna be fun.

Warren has an enrollment of 301 as of last year and EC isn't alot bigger than that.Just a question here .Why would it be fair for Dville to play down at 1-A where they have 100 more kids than Evadale,but its not fair for EC to play Dville when they have less than 100 more than Dville.I'm confused.Fact is to get better you have to play up.The Pirates should be proud of making the playoffs the last 2 years but I don't think they have been a historic power in football.I wish them luck this year as I do all the 24aa teams but I dont think they have helped prepare there team for the district schedule thats coming.

If Woodville and Warren pitch horseshoes it will be a contest,to many close friends and families not to competetive.This game usually brings out the best in both teams.
