Youth and playoff basketball are strange partners.Kounte and EC will put on a show but never doubt Tramain in a big game.

Gotta disagree with ya about Spurger.Without Whittacre they aren't a playoff team,everything they do goes thru the post.They have some good shooters but wouldn't be consistent without him.The same can be said about McKinney from BS.Tyler has some great stats and is a good player but on the team he is on this year the stats are misleading, he simply has to score or the Oilers don't score at all thus raising his average.The MVP in this ditrict should be the big guy off the district champ(whoever that is).Tyler should be the offensive player of the year.

Warren isn't mathmatically out of it but the road couldn't be any harder .They have EC and Kountze on the road.Hardin would have to lose to D-Ville and Anahuac and Warren win out for Hardin to lose the 3rd spot.The 2 teams Hardin has left on the schedule played them very close in the first round but we all know how EC and Kountze play at home.Hardin is still a huge favorite to get the 3rd spot,but there playoff route just got a lot tougher by going in as the 3rd seed.

Very tough place to play.West is doing a good job with that club

Great ballgame to watch.Neither team could put it away despite several runs by each club.Seemed like a lead change on every possession.Hardin did a good job on a very emotional night for the Warren seniors.Not sure why the Hornets crowd was down tonight,they have a solid club and deserve the community supports.Davis was huge tonight with 25 and Marsh was Marsh with 22.Total team effort for the Warriors,Andrews was great at the post,Sims had 4-3ptrs at clutch times,McBee played with tons of heart and Swinney hit 2 huge 3's when they needed them.Young and Nash hit shots at crucial times as well for the win.Good job guys you proved again you just don't quit.Congrats. ;D ;D ;D

I told ya there was a lot of basketball left to play.The Warren boys have been inconsistant but they can be very good when they play to there potential.D-ville and Anahuac won"t be a cakewalk either.

If you finished the game without your coach being ejected in Spurger your 1 ahead of us.We had 2 fans and 3 coaches ejected when we played there earlier this year.I gotta disagree with you CATMAN about the playoffs,they usually call those came pretty tight and the better officials from each chapter get the assignments.

Kountze is historically strong and EC has been very good over the last 4 years with Tramain leading the way.This has been a strange year for the 4-6 place teams in this district.Warren loses a 3 pt game at Deweyville and a 4 pt game at Hardin to pretty much take them out of the race.Deweyville loses in double OT to Hardin then loses to Anahuac by 15 to eliminate themselves.Anahuac looks good early but loses 2 key players to grades and there history.Overall this district is closer than some folks think 1-6.With all that being said it is a tough 2-a district but it is down a little this year from the previous 3 years.

Tramain is a tremendous player but I think he would be better served to concentrate on the defensive backfield at Arizona.There are a lot of D1 schools he could probably play at but I'm not sure about Arizona they are big time.

Still a lot of basketball left to play to be talking about 3 way ties. ;) ;)I think Kountze beats EC at the Montagne for the #1 seed.At least thts what the crystal ball says.

Tyler is a great ball player.You gotta feel for him though after playing on the club he was on last year.He would probably trade some of those points for some help.

Warren was up by around 15 and pulled the ball out.Buna was in a 2-3 and didn't pressure the ball for the first 5 minutes of the 4th.Very slow paced game from the start.Talked with one Buna fan after the game who said this was the best they had played all year.Must have been a long season for the cougars,they played hard just not a lot of basketball players coming out for some reason.Kinda sad when you look at their facilities and there trophy case.They have a very nice gym.

Hardin could easily lose one of those 3.They beat Warren by 4 at Hardin,Anahuac by 3 and Dewyville in double OT.There could be some interesting matchups the last 2 weeks.

I don't think Deweyville or Warren is mathimatcally eliminated but they would have to have some miracles to get in.They both can be dangerous when they have nothing to lose.

Anything is possible but lets be realistic.Arp and Newton I think will be there this year.Kountze has a shot if they keep improving.We have to realize they are very young and that will play a part in there success in the early rounds of the playoffs.While I have the utmost respect for EC and Hardin they aren't quite regional caliber teams.They both have superb players but depth is what gets you to Tyler.I know you have been to Tyler and Austin enough to know what it takes to get there.I hope I'm wrong becausse I love to go to the regional tourneys and to Austin to yell for the local teams.

Some folks have a serious misconception about the caliber of basketball these girls play.I travel all over southeast texas watching games and have been very impressed with the level at which some of these young ladies play.I did see several news stories over the past few weeks covering the girls area teams.This is great for the ladies and long over due.However it is starting to be addressed.It's just a matter of time with the caliber of players and coaches on the girls side of the sport they start getting the recognition they deserve.

I don't know what the ruling will be but the UIL usually acts on these incidents pretty quickly.I wouldn't be surprised if the administrators for both schools involved aren't in Austin Monday morning.

It won't matter if they were on the floor or not if the benches cleared.There are all kinds of ramifications when kids come off the bench.I hate to say it because I'm a huge fan but it was just a matter of time before someting like this happened regardless of the teams.The high school game has gotten completely out of the officials control.I'm not from Silsbee or WOS but the players involved in this should be suspended,if not we can look for more of the same.

Warren played pretty solid ball at times but not anywhere close to there best game.Not sure why but they have been very inconsistant from about the 3rd week of the season.

If this is a serious question,the answer has to be Tramain Thomas.He is putting a pretty average club in the position to make the playoffs.He does what a pg has to do and that is make everyone else on the floor better.

Nothing against Hardin but they will really have to stay focused to force a playoff with Kountze.Regardless of district records the teams from top to bottom are closer than some folks think.Deweyville,Anahuac and Warren are all capable of shaking up the standings.In the first Kountze game the Lions didn't shoot ft's or the 3 ball at all.I think that changes tonight.

After close losses on the road at Hardin and Deweyville they are all but out of the hunt.They could be dangerous to the leaders though,they are a pretty good club with nothing to lose.
