  1. I see Hardin winning, but I don't see these 50+ scores everybody is putting, although I didn't see Groveton beating them this bad either. If Warren's secondary isn't ready for this one, it could get ugly. If the warriors come to play, Hardin stays around the 30 mark. (but still wins)

  2. First, I'd have to test the middle. Exposing this will be your key, and if it won't work the way I'm lined up, I'd have to move my TE (or the best alternative) into the backfield. Attack their week spot, and when the linebackers cheat up, a little PA pass over the middle. Traps and counters, hoping we could make the LB's over pursue. During the early stage of the game, try to establish a few short passes to keep those athletic LB's on their heels, always keeping at least 1 RB back blocking to keep your QB from being blind sided by thier studs at DE.

  3. Also, some stability is very important. Look at some of these teams around that have had the same coaching staff for 10+ years. The kids starting running a scheme in junior high and it sticks with them til they graduate. They nearly perfect it. That helps a whole lot! These are also the schools that the coach is the almighty when it comes to decisions pertaining to football, not parents, school board, etc.

  4. That's great that you have pride in Legacy. They have some great athletes. The major problems I saw with them against WH in the scrimmage was their lack of experience. You could tell those boys haven't played very much ball, due to their inability to take advantage of their athleticism. That being said, WH manhandled Legacy in the scrimmage and game situation half and I'm sure Bmt. Kelly would get the best of WH by a decisive margin. I don't see logic in your theory, but hey, school pride is what its all about, right? Go Warriors!

  5. I know you don't want 2 weeks off because you fall out of rhythm even worse, so you have to schedule someone. I don't look for them to score more than 40 or 50 because Coach Westfall will probably get his JV players some game experience before the season starts and he isn't the type of coach to run up a score. Its not a cheap win, if that were the case, they would be on the schedule for homecoming or something and win by 80. Its a "warm up" game. No doubt about it. A sparring match, per say. Good luck to both teams, and I'm sure Kelly's JV is very excited about the chance to play on Friday Night.

  6. Yep. Tune up game. Not enough kids to risk injury. I expect Kelly's Jv to put up about as much fight as Sabine Pass with all of their injuries. This is just a arme up game, its not to impress people. Nothing to it.

I think kelly's varsity would have been a game to schedule early in the season for WH. That being said, Kelly's varsity would probably win that one by 3-4 scores. Them boys are playing some ball this year, and that kicker!! Whoa Nelly!!
