They don't normally sell hot chocolate at the concession stand anymore?  I bet the nachos don't taste the same either.  :(

I remember going to football games in the early 90s to watch my brothers and my parents making me wear sweat pants underneath blue jeans.  It sucked!
We got Turkey legs for tomorrow. Those are definitely gonna be the hot ticket item along with the hot chocolate. And we've been selling hot Chocolate for a few years now. And nacho's taste the same as they did before.
As far as I know, hot chocolate has been sold at least since the 80s.  And the nachos...they have to be the best nachos ever served.  I always joke that I need to find out when nacho day is in the cafeteria and show up for lunch.  I'm only half-joking....  I will admit to going to a game at half-time in 2003 when I was pregnant with my daughter just to get nachos.  You can keep your turkey legs though. :)

I'd rather Ozen not make the playoffs, personally.

    And why may I ask?
Don't like Ozen at all.  This is the school my children would technically be going to if we were living in the same place at that point.  But, over my dead body will they ever step foot in that school.
You never answered the question.  Why?
It's not a good place - have personal reasons, family working for the district.  If my kids had to go to high school in Beaumont, they will be going to Central.
Not trying to call you out or be rude but you don't like many schools in this area do you?
Very few.  That being said, I'd send my kids to PNG before I'd send them to Ozen.  And that is only because of academics.

I was in high school when all of the football players signed a petition and took it to the school board to make Coach Mathews head coach and AD.  His players love him, win or lose.  I'm going with him for 4A.  He turned Vidor's football program around completely in the time since he became head coach.
Seems like we have been playing Mathews teams forever, how long has he been HC at Vidor?
I believe he became head coach in the spring of '98.  That idiot from Lumberton did not even last an entire year, if I am remembering correctly.

That's a pretty good turn around - Vidor's first playoff berth in years and years and years was in the 2000 season.

Come on people take it easy on us. That was one sign that one person held up. The whole city of Vidor is not reflected by that sign.
Actually for you Vidor fans that didn't see it and most of you couldn't, but the Vidor Cheerleaders put up one of those signs across the railing on the track, that said Real Men Take A Knee.  ::)

    Get REAL.
That is freaking awesome!  I used to have no respect for the cheerleaders, but now I have a little bit.

I won't even comment on or ask anyone from Vidor to explain their, "REAL men take knees" sign.
      >:(

OH..... and I'm pretty sure you guys weren't resting any of your starters..... Correct??
Hey, even in the NFL they take knees when there are injuries.  Cowboys v. Rams is still on my DVR if you need proof.

pngfan66...I saw in the PA NEWS that Stewart will be starting because of Louviere's injury. It also mentioned Riley starting..that was confusing..is he starting on the D-line or at LB? I would guess D-line.

RILEY ON THE D LINE AND STEWART (BIG PHYSICAL KID) AT LINEBACKER
I hadn't heard of any D-line injuries, so I was wondering. Evidently we are going with a different look up front to defend the run.
Changing things up like that isn't always a good decision...

I did really want to go to this one, but it looks like it might be chilly and I am comfortable sitting here at home on my off day...  My son is generally asleep by dark too, so....  We'll see how I feel tomorrow and if there are tickets left..

Wow. As vocal as you have been in your hatred for PNG, I figured you would go through heck and high water to come to this game. That's OK, we will give you a report on how Vidor's school song went. You never gave me an answer of how big, bad, mean ol' PNG kept you from playing it the year that you can't remember. Most people who post on here at least have enough loyalty and motivation to go to the games and support their team. I guess you only have the energy to type your hate on here. What a joke.
I have two small children.  I am not one of those idiots who will drag their babies out until late at night.  Their health and well-being is more important than anything to me, unlike some people who drag infants to high school football games.
Whhaaaaahhhhh! Cry me a river.  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(  Get a babysitter. I repect Vidor's fan base, they have always supported their kids, even in the lean years. You are not part of that group. Be careful calling people idiots, because you have shown yourself to be one on this board.
Because babysitters that are trustworthy are easy to find on a Friday night.  My father has gone to every Vidor game, home and away, since the 60s (minus when he was drafted into Vietnam).  I've attended enough in my lifetime, even at 0-10.  So, at this point, with small children, it may be better for me to be at home with them.  I'm not a homer and am not particularly fond of the city of Vidor itself.  I'm actually not fond of this whole area, anyway.  I am a Vidor graduate and that's as far as it goes.

And it is true, I do hate PNG.  It goes far beyond football, though.
