He really is a good guy.  Before he was head coach and AD, he also was the PE coach for the special education kids.  It really takes a special person for something like that.

There may be some not so good teams in 20-4A, but you cannot measure will and determination.  Even lop-sided games are often hard fought.

I've only seen Vidor lose to Nederland in the 1st round of the playoffs in 2000 at Lamar. 

This is the playoffs and it is high school.  Any team can win.  Just how the cookie crumbles.

And how could anyone think Lamar University is in Orange and be from this side of Texas?  Really?

I wonder if the school supplied them water/gatorade after their halftime show?  It could be something in the water/gatorade/dispenser. Just seems odd that it was only band members/drill team from one of the schools that got sick.

Vidor has had success in other sports as well; remember our basketball teams of the mid 2000's and the baseball teams. If you can't take the smack talk on this board, get outta the kitchen. The real problem is when you mid-County people think you own the rights to sports in this area. And, the future will tell if we're the "Lumberton" of this era. I believe our sports programs are a little better than that...

I think there were a few occasions where Vidor showed they can score fast if need be.

The thing that has amazed me is that the other team knows Vidor is going to run on almost every play, but still can't stop it.  Why?

Personally, I think playoff games SHOULD be played on neutral territory.  If it is played at Beaumont's shrine to Carroll Thomas, that is basically home field for Vidor anyway.
