they return an all-state QB right??
No, Steven Walker was second team all district. The all stater last year was their running back Karrion Morrisey. He graduated.

2012 Chester Yellowjackets Team Preview
WOSgrad replied to WOSgrad's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
While I agree with the fiscal reasoning behind closing down any school (I think that should be used a lot more liberally within HISD), let's be clear on some things before we head to the parade to shut Chester down. As to the no coach issue, Coach Holton only tendered his resignation according to reports on July 3rd. By Texas law via the Texas Education Code, this job would have to have been posted for 10 days (and perhaps "school" or "business" days), so we are just approaching the point at which Chester can begin to interview for the job. Second, like a number of districts, Chester has been in search of a new superintendent and has named a candidate for the job. So I imagine the football head coach position will be filled shortly. -

But like many other teams in the area, the Longhorns will be expected to maintain any momentum from a previous season with a new head coach as Kane Harris, formerly the quarterbacks coach at Midland Lee, takes over for Don Price, who has departed for C.E. What stadium should host more playoff games?
WOSgrad replied to Mr. Buddy Garrity's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Okay, each has gotten their obligatory shot at the other out of the way. So we don't need anymore of that. -
I understand, but just growing up in Coldspring I didn't consider us to be in SETX. I understand that they're included due to the teams in the district. Kinda like Livingston. They weren't SETX til they joined 20-4a. Before then they were in Montgomery's district which I thought was a better fit. As for 18-4a that was more of a joke just because we feel included because of BrenhamFan even though we are clearly not in SETX.
No problem. Just 'splainin' why I do what I do. ;D
-
DISTRICT 18-4a! >:(
The former or current 18-4A? As far as the former 18-4A, as AAW noted I did post schedules of select schools whose supporters had found their way to SETXsports. Mainly the Humble ISD schools. In fact, as those same schools are now within 19-4A, a district that we have covered regularly since the inception of this site, we will experiment with them under the umbrella due to their following here. As to the current 18-4A, as a courtesy to one very devoted fan of one of the teams in that district and an even more devoted member of this site (and a few devoted fans of another school in that district), I have posted the schedules of the 18-4A. But to place it under the umbrella would mean that SETXsports would reach all the way to the Brazos River and it would be expected that we should cover all schools in between which would mean ALL of the Greater Houston area. And I am sorry, but we currently do not have the manpower to properly do that.
