  4. I think that is the first time that I have had to use google translate to decipher an entry here!

  6. And what thread involving WO-S would be complete with the same, typical, tired old shot from the supporter of a school who along with the superintendent of Baby's Hill are developing their own "Snob-5A."
  7. Mmmmmmm, yeah it actually does appear, from how you worded the topic title to the increasingly vitriol with every response to griff to the constant "I knew someone would respond" that you were baiting, which is alright as I have seen it done to just about every coach here, not just Coach Thompson. You, see, I can tell you for certain that the situation you chronicled is not the first time that Cornel Thompson has offended someone with his words and I am probably pretty safe in saying it wasn't the last. But hey, all turns out well as I am sure that Mr. Peterson and Coach Thompson are extremely content with their current station in life.
  8. And there is the strumpet, ready to throw her periodic tantrum. I appreciate the attention but I do have to let you know that I am happily married.
  9. Bud, I know you're one of the ones that truly have my back here!
  10. +1
  11. Yes, but you've never beat them, either. I heard BYE's defense is the best around, but they can't score a point to save their life.
  12. I will say this about that game. I know absolutely nothing about the football ability of Slaughter Charter. I do however, happen to know that they are located just north of Baton Rouge, which puts them in the area devastated by historic floods earlier in the month. So there remains the possibility that this date COULD become an actual open date.
  13. And I have no argument with what you said whatsoever. As I said at the outset I agreed with you that Jasper's non-district schedule is crap and I go even further in saying that Barbay's refusal to play WO-S (and according to reliable sources Silsbee until being compelled to do so by Jasper ISD administration) is grounded in nothing but pure cowardice. That being said, I also saw WO-S struggle to get to a full 10 game schedule for the very reason that sometimes, it is kinda hard to find the dance partner that can dance with you on the same date as you need. That is all I was trying to say.
  14. Perhaps, bud. It just seems that topical content seemed to cease long ago in both of those threads. I wouldn't worry too much as I know that those who believe their words have been frozen (and I know that there are some out there who do) will find the ability to warm those words up in any of the various topics that remain open and express them for all of our consumption.
  15. Okay, we are on Monday, it is time to put this game to rest. Time for Nederland to move on to Dayton and WO-S to move on to LC-M.
  16. Although I have made clear that I share your perplexity of who is and, more importantly, who is not on Jasper's schedule this year, I feel compelled to defend the Jasper staff in this specific instance. As far as teams in the area, I don't think there was one in Week 2 that was available to play. As you can see from the weekly schedule at the top, Jasper is the only 11 man team with an open date this week.. I do know that Jasper was on a pretty rigorous search for a Week 2 opponent, but they simply couldn't find one. So, as far as the open date this week, while not the best timed in the world, it probably was a bit outside of their control so they should catch a break from any heat.
  17. I am glad you were able to share this as Dr. Kilgo fastened on something that is usually what sticks in my craw when this situation is brought up here. And that is that a school does not have the latest in turf or indoor training facilities does so simply because it does not desire their school district to have them. Nothing can be farther from the truth. Quick fact, no high school field in Orange County has artificial turf. Equally quick fact, every AD in a school in Orange County wants turf on their field be it Jeff Mathews, Cornel Thompson, Randy Crouch, Josh Smalley, Dwayne DuBois or Johnny Robinson. Second equally quick fact, every superintendent and board of trustees of every school district in Orange County....Vidor ISD, Bridge City ISD, Orangefield ISD, Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD, West Orange-Cove CISD or Community Christian School, would love to provide it. However, whenever they enter into their budget workshops, the money simply isn't there. Now, one by one, districts around the area are finding ways to fund such a venture and perhaps very soon every district in the area will overcome the cost obstacles to install such a field. But for those that have it to look down their noses at those who don't does not make those who have it look superior, it makes them look like idiots.
