  1. This could end up being like the horses runing out of a burning barn - if Murray leaves would not be a bit surprised to see Daylon Mack and Christian Kirk be the next shoes to drop. Then the recruits start the decommit phase. Could be a long off season for us Aggie supporters.
  2. According to Texas A&M SID Alan Cannon, Sumlin told Murray to skip practice today to go home and think about things. Posted at 247 Sports - So who really knows?
  3. Looks like another playing time issue - was playing 15+ minutes early in the season but last few games only like 2-3 minutes - all the other freshman recruits are continuing to get plenty of playing time. Hate to see this as they need the depth for future seasons.
  4. Could that be like Sumlin encouraging Spavatal to take the WVU job? While not as anit-Sumlin as some - would not cry to see him replaced at all as I do think he has underperformed on the field - just might be concerned on the recruiting front as you can bad mouth Sumlin all you want but he has brought some good talent into the fold at A&M - just think that with that talent there should not have been as many team collapses as A&M has had. But waiting this long - all the good applicants may well be gone - damn
  5. "Yes it is. The Payout for the Texas Bowl is 50,000 more than the Music City Bowl, so A&M would have made more money and if it was Tech A&M" Either your math is just bad or you are showing your Tech education - as the Music City bowl pays 2.75 Million and the Texas Bowl pays 3.00 Million thas equals $250,000.00 not $50,000.00. Yes A&M would have made more money but so would LSU - why would the better team give up an additional $250,000.00? Finally the statement that LSU would be an easier game then A&M is not founded with any rational facts to back it up - LSU is the better team. And remember I root for both teams so I would have loved to see a Tech - A&M match-up - just think it is funny that anyone thinks that A&M ducked Tech for any reason when LSU deserves the better bowl game.
  6. Sorry man but the "inside" information was from a post by Buddy - just using the information provided by him. And TXHoops - I understand employment negotiation likely much more than anyone on this site - but when you say No to the first and what should be the primary negotiator and you then send in the big guns after he had been basically turned down then something did not go as planned - is begging the right word likely not but the next best word that come to mind is desperation so take you choice. If they offered 1/2 of what they offered another applicant and did not know that he might be offended then that also shows a lack of knowledge of the process as well. Again bringing Aggie into a Texas conversation if this had happened to Sumlin this site would be busting with posts about how the A&M program is falling apart - just a point of perspective I guess.
  7. Sorry he turns down your Head Coaches offer for whatever reason - and they have to send the President down to "sweeten" the deal - sorry sounds like begging to me!
  8. Not a big Texas fan I think that we all know that - but I never thought that I would see the day that Texas had to beg on their knees to hire a coach!
  9. Same Greg Davis that was OC during the 2000's at Texas?
  10. Best keep secret in the country is the Texas is really waiting on A&M to fire Spav so they can get their new OC - wink wink
  11. Buddy - You actually predicted 6 losses as well. Now after my passionate defense of A&M after the not surprising comments of the non Aggie Lovers on the departure of Kyle Allen - I do have serious concerns about the future of Kyler Murray and Christian Kirk remaining Aggie's. Kyler was also very unhappy it appears by the handling of the A&M QB fiasco and Christian Kirk - if I remember right - came to A&M based a lot on the fact that Kyle was there could they be the next shoe to drop - if so then perhaps A&M does have some issues - but until then we appear to have many of the the same issues as other schools.
  12. [Hidden Content] Looks to me like A&M ain't the only team with "departure" issues. But no issues there I take it - lol. All comes down to playing time it seems. Do I think that A&M handled the QB playing time issue at A&M right - no actually I do not - but do not try and tell me that A&M is the only team that loses players to transfer once they find out that playing time may be in jeopardy. Matt Davis transferred because he would never see the field and Trill transferred because he lost his starting position - guess that is different from Conner Brewer and Garrett Gilbert transferring due to playing time issues? All that being said - I hate to see A&M lose Kyle and in this case I do believe it is not caused by playing time but by the way this situation was handled.
  13. Again heard the Arky improved comment last year - and did not Buddy guarantee a Arky win this year? Also heard the same type of "turmoil" argument last year as well. Same ole c**p that ya'll seem toss year in and year out.
  14. Same thing happens at all schools by the way - did not Texas (yeah I know I am using Texas again only since the biggest bashers of A&M continue to be Horn fans) just lose their starting center for next year - could not the same question be asked by their recruits"?
  15. Yeah heard the same pontification from anti-Aggie's last year regarding the projected season record - therefore I put very little emphasis on the predictions of you are any of the many anti-Aggie's on this site.
  16. Actually I think this is a bad thing as I think that Kyle was better than Kyler.
  17. If I read the article right he was the projected starter for 2016 - Do we know what core value he broke to be purged?
  18. I saw Henry in several games but only saw McCafferty in one - but you look at the stats and I say that McCafferty should win - but from what I am reading Henry is the odds on favorite. This is were the SEC reputation - real or imagined - is perhaps giving an unfair advantage to one player over another.
  19. Again - LSU = better team than A&M LSU = better record than A&M LSU = deserves better bowl game than A&M - those are the facts. The fact that the SEC decided to send LSU to a better bowl game and people think that A&M for some undetermined, unreasonable and unfounded reason should be given preference over LSU because "Tech and the State of Texas" wanted it - that is almost laughable. SEC chooses and sends teams to the bowl games they decide - did the SEC do A&M any favors over the last 2 years - no they did not.
  20. 247 has the Aggie's at 14th as well - so what's your point?
  21. Lol - yeah but as he makes fun of Aggie's he obviously has a thing for lambs on his own!
  22. In this in addition to Cumbie or instead of Cumbie? Last I heard Cumbie was offered the OC with a wad of cash? Texas is still one of the best coaching gigs in the country - did Cumbie turn it down? Just trying to catch up I guess.
  23. Like Spurrier and his I do not give a darn attitude but do not like that he quit mid-season on the Gamecocks - almost like he just quit on his team. Also think that this could be a major issue of "who would be in charge" in the locker room - Sumlin or Spurrier? Could cause issues that A&M just does not need. Would be very surprised if this happens.
  24. LSU had the better season and got the better bowl game at a better location - anti-A&M fans and "experts" can make any statement that they want to whether they make sense or not. On that note - I say that Texas lost to Iowa State on purpose so not to have to play any decent team in any bowl game - see I can be an expert as well - and make arguments that cannot be proven or backed up by anything but speculation. See we can all make derogatory statements about teams that we (I) may not like.
