The picture of the two ex-QB's was good. Look does A&M deserve the No. 4 spot - very likely no - but the fact that with the current state of affairs in the Longhorn Fieldhouse and for it to get so far under the skin of Texas fans all over the world is priceless.

You know it has been a long year so far when the first comment on a Big game vs Baylor for Texas is a comment on the Band. Hope Texas pulls the upset and beats the hell out of Baylor.

Texas is the best college job in he nation there is not doubt - However, it also comes with the biggest expectations - any coach would have to look at their current job other jobs on the market and take that all that into consideration and the expectation level will be a large factor in any coaches decision. Some will take the challenge but others may pass - the longer Texas in an Average team the shorter the time will be given for those new coaches to turn it around. Texas like all schools wants to win and win now - the only difference is that Texas has a history that will hard if not impossible to get back to - but their fans expect it year in and year out.

Opening line at A&M +17 - if A&M needs motivation that should give it to them. This game depends on 2 factors: (1) Which Knight shows up if it is the good one could be a better game than expected; (2) A&M had a week to get some of its stars back and if Miles and Seals Jones are at 100% could help as well. I think the Tennessee game I think might give A&M a little boost as the way that the Vols came back should erase any over confidence that A&M might have gotten with a blowout win. Big game for the Aggie's if they want to be taken seriously this year. Prediction: 27 - Texas A&M 34 - Alabama Still good to be in the "Big" game of the week win or lose!

Not the first article this year that opposing teams fans have given A&M high marks on their treatment - speaks volumes about the university in my opinion.

Agreed - they really got lucky - offense hit early able to hold on due to the 6 turnovers and win in 2 OT. Really like that freshman RB Williams.

IF he loses his job - whoever the next coach is will have a cupboard full of talented recruits. I do not think he is going anywhere myself

You are so right - October has been tough the last few years for us Aggie's. Too bad the Horns can't get through September before everyone writes them off for the season - if September was better perhaps then Charlie might not be in such trouble.

Love that Texas A&M is 5-0 but lets see if they can improve on the 2nd half of the season.

Does not Texas have a history of top 10 and 5 classes and not producing under Mack and now Charlie - These losses most be easier to take knowing you might have a good class coming February.

Actually do not think that Texas will be open - he will have a good enough season to give at least another year. Timing may have screwed Herman out of a shot at the Texas gig. I don not see Herman at A&M regardless of the situation - just do not see it for some reason.

Only one I might disagree with is Alabama - they dismantled a supposedly very good USC team - really did not see a weakness apparent in that game. Houston did look very good as well. And I agree might be a down year for the SEC.

Glad to be back and see that nothing has changed - "If Texas had played up to who they REALLY are the actual score would have been 67 - 0 for Texas" So sorry but technical and actually Texas gave up 37 points in the game and 10 points in the OT = still equals 47. Had to laugh when a Texas friend that was watching the A&M was laughing when Texas A&M blew the 15 point lead - but was real quite on Sunday when Texas blew their 17 point lead - classical karma coming back to haunt us college football fans - had to laugh at that.

Fact is the Big opening game of the season win will put more pressure on him rather than less.

Personally think that the coaches poll is closer to accurate as to where the two teams are at this point of the season.

Recent history makes it look funny making fun of the SEC for - lets just say - issues while the Big 12 has Baylor in it - Baylor's recent issue seem to trump what has happened in the SEC over the last 1- 2 years. Just an observation.

You are right - long end of season for the Aggie's. But I seem to be missing the team with burnt orange on either poll - must have been a misprint?

Baylor would lose all respect if they bring Brile's back - (gonna give one to the SEC haters) - the next vote would be for admittance to the SEC!!!!!!
