Kin folk look here what many don't realize, a opportunity to play at the next level is a gift given from someone with the gift to give. Added in fact of the work the kid put into it, and grinded out on the field. Rather a child hold a clipboard at the next level, is a honored gift. Many look to down a child due to our dreams as parents, like we are playing still or played at all. Why dont we argue teams as a whole, but uplift ever child even the one holding the clipboard.

I don't have a problem with name, but why not let it represent the kids that play their hearts out there. Who deserves the Honor more than the players?

Why not name it Beaumont ISD Stadium and have a plaque or Honor Wall naming and picturing all of the people in Beaumont who have contributed to the history and legacy of BISD including Levias, Durley, Ozen, Smith, Shaver, Carroll, Chargois, et al.  People make too much of an issue about names, titles, logos, team names, etc.  It is a nice facility.  Throw up an Honor Wall and name those in Beaumont that contributed to the foundation and achievements of BISD.  Next, move on....

Should have been named after Levias to begin with. If not him, then Willie Ray Smith or move the name of West Brook's Durley Stadium to the new stadium.

Levias stadium. Has a nice ring to it. And IMO he deserves it more than carol.

OK, we get it.  Beaumont had some admins who were smart but crooked while Vidor just had admins who weren't smart.  Does that about sum it up?
Now enough about finance.  Let's get back to football!!!

I've seen Neumann do more with less... plenty of times. I agree the defense will be missing some key talent, but this staff has a way of putting together a team that is greater than the sum of its parts.. Not predicting a run at state by any means, but Ned should be able to hold its own in this district...

Yes! August can't get here soon fast enough.  Looking forward to seeing that offense in action.

Guess we can let everyone have a little fun for now but come 2 a days and football season I think we will all see who the TOP DOG is. Little chatter on here about the Bulldogs but what chatter there is has us coming in around the middle of the pack. I think people will be surprised with the offense this year! Sure we lost some major guys on D but we have more than adequate athletes to do the job and like I said..Offense should be fun this year with some new looks!!!

Stay and play or go on the trip???
 
Trip is paid for.  If they stay and play they lose the $$ for the trip and there is no guarantee that Coldspring would advance in the playoffs, so the season ends and they lose their $$ and trip.
 
I'm thinking that the girls didn't think that they would even get into the playoffs when they booked the trip.  I'm sure that are plenty of people that are upset with them because they opted to go on the cruise. 
 
If I would have put up the money for my daughter to take a trip like this, I'm not sure I would have required her to stay and play ball either.  Having said that, I can assure you that I would have never permitted my daughter to go on a trip like that in the first place.
 
Like someone else posted, this trip should have been scheduled in the summer.  Also, how many days of school did they miss?
