1. I don't know, but I'd get there early.  Won't be an empty seat.
2. How did that matchup make ESPNU?
3. Navasota hasn't given up a score yet, including the scrimmage against Montgomery.  Coldspring is going to have to keep this a low scoring game to win.
4. Unlikely in the playoffs because Navasota will likely be D1 and Coldspring will definitely be D2
5. Both of these teams might be playing for a State championship this season.  I'll lean with Navasota in this one based upon last weeks results.  Hopefully Coldspring will come in with something to prove.
6. Top ranked teams in 3A, 4A, and 5A all lost last weekend. Don't see that often.
7. Gotcha.  I see the Huntsville at Mag West game deciding 3rd place.  Of course, there could be some surprises along the way in this district.
8. Good job there Texasaggie, but don't seem so surprised that Huntsville actually won.  Your Power rankings are very good.  While Navasota is definitely loaded, I have seen nothing from Willis to see them making the playoffs this year.  I think Mag West and Huntsville take 3rd and 4th.
9. At least Montgomery has a game under their belt.  I believe this is Dawson's opener.  Dawson should have a great offense this year and they will most likely be too much for Montgomery to handle.  I'll take Dawson 44-27.
10. 18-4A looked pretty weak with the top two teams losing and Willis getting blown out.
11.

The last thing I saw was scoreless in the 1st.
Thks for the update.
LOL
12.
I'm going to be at the game next week at Navasota rooting for you guys. Someone needs to tell the D to be prepared for throws, that Navasota QB averages 300 plus yards 3 plus TD's throwing. Prepared to see you guys put a stop to that high powered offense. Good Luck. Navasota going to be a tuff game.... Go Trojans.
Navasota has a high powered offense AND defense.  Navasota QB Kadarius Baker was 22-28 for 306 yards against Willis.  He is very elusive and doesn't seem to get rattled at all.  Navasota can run the ball too pretty efficiently.  The defense gives up Nothing.  Willis only had about 125 yards, and 49 of that came on one pass play.    Based upon the week 1 results, it would appear that Navasota will be the favorite in this one.  Coldspring will need to figure out how to get that Navasota offense out of rhythm and also how to move the ball against that tough D.  I'm rooting for Coldspring, but they have to bring the A+ game.
13. What was the final score?  33-21 the last I heard.
14. 35-0.  Mid 3Q.  This is over
15. 21-0 at half. Navasota gets Coldspring next week
16. Navasota leading 13-0 with 8 min left in half
17. Navasota at Willis to see a 3A power against 18-4A.
18. Lots of Hornet doubters before this one, thanks to Coldspring. Huntsville will be in the playoff hunt in 18-4A
19. Yea. It looks like Humble got the L wrapped up by halftime.  Great call.
20.
Humble should have this wrapped up by halftime.
No chance of that.  Humble doesn't have enough offense to do that.
21. 1992 was the last time Huntsville was legit in my opinion.  They were 5A at that time.  In 1991, they were the USA Today preseason #1 in the nation.  Coach Joe Clements retired a couple of years after that, and then the bottom dropped out.  They haven't really been very good since except for the couple of years that Justin Gilbert was the QB in 2008-2009.  They have made the playoffs the last 4 years, but are still a very mediocre team. I actually don't remember Huntsville ever being in a district with Lufkin.  Maybe they were, but I don't recall that.
22. I think they had a losing record also, but I really don't care.  I was just responding to the fact that lots of returning starters don't always equate into winning records.
