I wouldnt be surprised, but then again these Title games the last two years have either been very close, or the underdog has won. FSU over Duke was the only favorite to even cover a spread. Rooting for chaos.

If the Top 4 win, they are in. I'd like to see 1,2, and 4 lose and see what happens. 5 and 6 could both lose too.

Baylor probably needs one after struggling to put away OK St and squeaking by Tech as a 26 point favorite. They better handle K-State convincingly.

I don't think Oregon will lose 3 straight to Arizona. Bama, TCU, and Wisconsin win. Wouldn't be surprised to see K-state beat Baylor. Florida St hasn't seen G-Tech since 28 games ago so well see how they handle that offense. GT could get the upset. Bama and Oregon on collision course.

Nebraska was 9-4 or 10-4 every year under Pelini. Obviously not good enough.

Defensive game for sure. Bearkats couldnt get much going offensively, plus had 4 turnovers. Defense and special teams came through big time.

Don't forget that we have had teams play in the national championship that didn't play in (or lost) their conference championship game.

Not sure they would go no matter what. Will a 2 loss SEC team finish ahead of Baylor, TCU, Ohio St, who are all waiting for someone to lose. Certainly, a 2 loss West champ would have to beat Mizzou to get to the playoff. I would think SEC could be left out of playoff if both Bama and Miss St lose.

Bama would go because they beat Miss St. Mizzou would never make the playoff.

Mizzou did it with smoke and mirrors. Lost to Georgia (who should have won the East) 34-0. They escaped everyone else but certainly benefited by not having to play Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, or Miss St.

Mark Snyder fired as ATM defensive coordinator. The 491 yards by LSU must have been the last straw.
