Very surprised by this. Madisonville gave up 61 to Connally. But they beat state ranked Bellville 9-3? I would have bet Bellville by a couple of scores at least.

Great comeback for the Horns. They were down 15-6 late in the 3rd and it wasn’t looking too good. Big fumble recovery in the Red Zone and then a 4th and 6 conversion to the 1 yard line. After that, HF had new life. They couldn’t be stopped in that 4th Qtr. Connally had some athletes, but they couldn’t stay with the Horns in the final quarter. Exciting finish. Great ballgame.

FBM was in a pathetic district prior to this year and routinely went deep in the playoffs. We know PNG is in a tougher district. I don’t see what difference that makes come Friday. I’m still taking LBJ. They played 6 playoff games last year, so I’m sure they understand that the cakewalk is over.

Toss-up. I think I’ll make this my Friday night destination.

Texas Football has FBM #2 and LBJ #10. I agree that FBM is the clear favorite for Region 3.

PNG definitely benefits by having played FB Marshall. So, they know what speed looks like. I don’t think the result will be any different, but I do think PNG has a chance. The weak district doesn’t matter unless LBJ is still in cream puff mode and PNG punches them in the mouth early.

Cream puff district for LBJ. They did blow out a 7-3 team in the 1st round. Defense is supposedly extremely good. Opponents haven’t scored against them since September. We know they were in the 4A final last year. Its hard to see PNG winning this one. But, I’m sure they will at least get some points on the board. I’ll take LBJ 35-14.

My first thought was Anahuac by at least 10. I saw Westwood play earlier this year and I don’t think they win this one.

I don’t think Lake Creek is losing. I think the most likely upsets would be PAM, and also Mag West over Galveston Ball.
