Liberty changes pitchers here in the 7th. Good move.

8-3 headed to the 7th. Lake Belton hitters not swinging until they have 2 strikes. Trying to make West throw more pitches to wear her out for the next game. It’s hot out here.

Top 6. Still 8-2.

Game has restarted and Liberty gets 3 straight hits. Liberty adds 2 more runs here in the 4th and lead 8-2 headed to the bottom of the 4th.

Tonight’s game has been called. Resume at 2pm tomorrow and then Game 3.

Hope they have hotel rooms booked. Long trip home for both teams.

West Sabine wins 6-5 in 8 innings. They sweep the series with one run victories in each game.

Fuller is a great coach. I was quite impressed with the pre game warmup. Looked like the Scrapyard Dogs professional team.

West Sabine takes game 1 by a score of 2-1.. Game 2 is Friday at 6:00.

Liberty didn’t play their best game. Umpire strike zone was anyone’s guess. Too many walks and defensive issues. Lake Belton is all Fr/Sophs and the 15 year olds won tonight. I think Liberty will come back and even the series on Friday.

I’m a bit surprised. Thought East Bernard would win.

Lake Creek left the bases loaded in their last at bat of both games. I’m sure they will be thinking about the what if’s for awhile.

Liberty has made several mistakes to allow Lake Belton to lead so far in this one. Need to tighten up.

Well the LH fans sure thought they had won it for a second. It was a little confusing and I don’t think anyone was quite sure how the zebras would rule.

Woodberry 6 Rec, 147 yards. 3 TD’s Marshall 7 Rec, 200 yards, 2 TD’s Looked to me like they were doubling on Marshall quite a bit. Didn’t do much good.

It does seem like a “Play them 10 times and win once” kind of situation as Aledo goes for the “One for both thumbs” rings (‘81 Steelers) Maybe College Station got the once but certainly Crosby is capable of winning the game. They will need some breaks to go their way as they have thus far. I am rooting for Crosby to win but my head says Aledo 49-38.
