1. Great game Warriors!! Outstanding defense and good hitting!! Way to shut em down.
2. I saw the Warren game...Kountze is a decent team. The problem seems to be mostly mental. The first six innings Kountze played great, made diving catches, went deep in the hole and made the plays. But a few big hits by Warren and a few bobbles by Kountze and you could almost see the "Here we go agian" look on the kids faces. If this team can find it's confidence and stay loose,  they will mark up some wins.
3. LOL!!! I bet you pick the Patriots every super bowl too.... Gonna be a CLOSE on  2-3 runs either way.
4. Almost a must win for Buna, if the want to keep the streak going. A loss knots everything up.
5.
6 years in a row... Dominating  ::) the only close game they played was tp Kountze so far... Im sure they will have a few more as well. I just dnt see anyone knocking them off... jmo tho. Except for dominating.. those are facts hahahaha I'm jus kiddin guys.
Ok...were are the run rules??? Why did Buna get shut down 6 out of 7 innings against Hardin and against Warren???  No, they can play ball and are very competative this year but, not dominate.
6.
Buna had one close game that was Kountze the other district games were not close Hardin was the next closest and Buna ended up winning by 3 or 4. Warren wasn't close or Deweyville. Everyone keeps saying errors they are apart of the game if Buna makes them they will lose so don't come on here complaining about errors.
Not complaining, just stating...Buna IS good. Buna IS winning. Buna is NOT dominating.
7.
For all the people that say that deweyville and warren, kountze were going to be the top in district they are foolish... To get everything straight buna is 4-0 kountze is 0-3 warren is 1-2 and deweyville is 1-2 and to top that off out of 10 games of deweyville kountze and warren they 26 runs altogether... BUNA alone has 28 runs in 4 games.....
Stats are off...but Buna is playing good baseball and making key plays when they count, like the game ending triple play. But there is a lot of baseball left and you can not count on a trpile play every game. While winning Buna is not dominating their oppenents. I see no run rules. I see close games turning on a player stepping up with a great play  or a team giving up runs on errors. Only guarentee in this district is there are no guarentees.
8. Belated Congrats to Buna. Solid performance. Warren simply got out played but definitely not out matched.
9. I do hope Buna puts up a better game than last year when a bunch of sophomores embarrassed them on their home field. As for WOODVILLE, a sophomore pitcher stymied you, got in your feelings and stole your cool. Your batter was called the third out after his stunt. 9-9. Tournament tie breaker is runners to third. WARREN had more. You lost. Get over it.
10.
Beaumont Kelly and Woodville are still ranked #1 and #2.
Yep...even with the Woodville loss to Warren.
11.
It is gonna feel so good when Buna finally shuts you Warren and Kountze fans up...
Cooking up your crow...gonna serve it real nice....what sides do you want with that?? ;D
12. Howell can definately pitch. Don;t know the name but, the kid that threw for Warren was flat nasty.  More movement and called strikes than I've seen in a long time.  If you missed the Warren / Deweyville game, well, you flat missed it. Best pitching duel in years!
13. Sure will...I mean the other 3a schools got nothin in thier freshmen class. And Buna been doin nuthin but takin names in all da 3a games they played this year!!! Lol!!!
14.
Buna might not win next week but they will own the season record when the season comes to an end.
Lol!!! Really is nothing like nostalgia.... The days of dominance have long past. Buna is just another good team in this tight district.
15. I agree. And don't discount the chance for the relief or JV pitcher to get in some innings against quality bats. The kid and the coach can see how they measure up and what to work on.
16. Great pitching duel. 14 k for Deweyville and 12 K for Warren. The Warren play in the field made the difference, some outstanding throws and plays.  Tough loss for Deweyville, quality win for Warren. Both teams should go on to hurt some feelings in district play.
17. Finally, the district race begins. Lets get the party started!!! And enjoy some GREAT baseball!!! ;D

20.

Everyone in Buna is thinkin 6 in a row ;) ;)
yeah, OKAY!  ::)
:)    that's what everybody has said the last 5........haha
Buna lost the district lead last year to a team of Sophomores..and had to rely on other teams to put them back on top. Now Buna's guns are gone...and those Sophomores are Juniors.  (Buna may take 3rd...maybe.)
21. Hardest thrower, or best pitcher??? Hardins Williams is good. Price kid in Kountze, when fresh, is good. Gray at Warren can throw with the best of them. And the Watts kid at Warren, when he is on, is almost unhittable...And (now that I remember his name) the Phillips kid for Warren is one of the hardest throwers in the District.
22. I think Select ball, I'm talking 16 - 18, is a great opportunity for the young men to make contacts (friends) with ball players outside thier normal sphere of influence. Also, gives them a chance to measure themselves against more players. If a kid has the desire to play at the next level, if he seriously wants this for himself,  the more he is exposed to other opponents, other pitchers, besides the same old district rivals, the better. So much depends on the kids mental maturity, but the chance for self evalutaion and improvement are big. Any level the player can only get out or benefit to the extent he puts in. I also place a high value on leage play. The chances it provides for fun. For the kids to get playing time, not just the select players, but joe-maybe-a-little-less-than-average. And there are a lot more of them out there. Some of todays "stars" were ugly ducklings once. The kid who was undersized till a late growth spurt, tripped over his own feet till the rest of him cauight up. Or grew up in a house without any real sports influence. Leauge play gives every one an opportunity and if they take to it (like a duck to water), select can allow them to broaden those skills.    :)
23. Congrats to all on a terrific year!!!!
