I don't really think t will matter one way or the other, but Lee has played much more difficult teams. LaPorte is a legitimate 5A playoff threat and Terry beat LaMarque.
Now, Lee got plastered by both of those teams, so take it for what it's worth.
Just cus the Ganders played them, don't mean it did them any good.
Saw La Porte play Atascocita earlier this season. La Porte did not look their usual strong. May have just been an off night...
-
As well as this BH Coaching Staff has done, over the last season and a half, in getting the Eagles to this point...I'm sure that they will be able to keep the positive focus going...What a climb for our Coaches and their kids!!!

Didn't get to see the game...And it must have been a good one. But, after all the pregame chatter about speed being such a killer, I'd like to make an observation. Speed is a weapon that, if you have none, it's very difficult to go very far. But speed is not the killer. The killer is speed being met with anticipated forceful contact, coming from the opposite direction. Apparently, last night, the Ants were able to do a job on the Ponies.
Both are very good programs...Best of luck to both... -
GoDogs27...In reading your pregame post's, I'm surprised to see you still on this Forum.
Refer to your post on page 3 of Nederland vs Barber's Hill... -
If GCM scored 20 on Ned, and WOS scored 20 on Ned...Yes! However...Carson Raines could give BH problems w/ his passing. JMO

Isn't WOS and GCM both 0 and 2?

I love all this banter, but I would have sworn this thread started as to the condition of Jakari Delasbour.
Hope he's rehabbed and ready to go...Also hope that BH will compete w/ the Broncos in 2011.
It's time...Bring it on...Gitter done!!! -
John Doughboy Collins...Just a great highschool athlete. Was the TEAM in the playoff loss to Ernie Coy, Joe Ed Lynn and the Bellville football team of the 60's. John also, just about singlehandedly, won the State High School Track Meet for the Panthers his senior year. Went on to A&M but injuries ended his football career.

Best of luck to Nederland as you advance. An exciting series to watch with each game intense.
The Dog program has so much good history and you should be proud of your Facility...It's so Baseball.
We're proud of our Eagles and hope the we can get another chance in the 12' season.

BO...Rivalrys are great! Don't ever stop pulling for the team of your choice. Maybe we can meet sometime at a game.

And probably, he's able to keep his composure really well. I'm just an ol' retired HS coach, who loves baseball/football and likes to banter a bit. I've noticed that, on most of these sites, there's a lot of that that goes on. Most of these baseball/football guys have pretty long fuses and can go back and forth w/ some really good lines...keeping their cool the whole time. These sites are not real constructive for someone who can't take a little of what he dishes out. JMO...And that's all this is...
opinions.

Hey BOHICA5581! Are you that big, very loud guy that stands over by the home dugout at Crosby and turns his hat backwards. You kind of sound like him. By the way...nice upgrade at your ballpark.
Yours truly,
One of the Scrub followers...

The latter option is correct...Can't spell it. And at my age, too much trouble to learn. Just know that he is a very good HS baseball player.

What pitchers were throwing when Crosby suffered their 3 losses?

It's Gabby's turn Tuesday. Will he go against GP, or be held back for GCM on Friday? No. 2 against GP could be interesting if GP goes with their No. 1. The lefthander had a pretty easy day yesterday. He could probably be ready Tuesday...

And the reason that it's easy to pick GCM...

So many one dominant pitcher teams in this District...If all coaches stay on present rotation courses, it's going to be very difficult to predict a winner till the last week...and then, anything might happen.
You have to like GCM's chances. Two up w/ four to play. Be very interesting to see if any coach takes a chance on stretching No. 1's rest time, or pitch counts. Probably won't happen with the senior No. 1's, with all the scouts hanging around. Tuesday and Friday starts are probably out of the question...
but Friday/Tuesday starts? That's about 4 days rest...A good possibility. To most coaches, District Championships are great...but they take a back seat to the Playoffs and a chance to get to Round Rock. JMO

And who's the other star pitcher for Crosby? I notice that they've lost 3 in Dist. 19-4A.
I'm over on this site from the H5AB site. Love the chatter and banter over hear. Thanks Guys.

LP beat them 26-7 and outgained them 337-73 in total yards according to the Chronicle.
Sounds like a pretty good whoopin to me.
I have little doubt that LP would steamroll through to an undefeated district championship if they were in 19-4A.
Rosenberg Terry, as has been mentioned, is state ranked.
If anything, Crosby has played the most difficult schedule, with PNG, Montgomery and Dawson.
Montgomery and Dawson being similar in stature to LaPorte and Terry. And of course PNG being light years ahead of Sterling.
I only took in the quality of that night's opponent and I believe that at the half, it was still anyone's game. Maybe LaPorte was just playing down to the opponent's level. JMO...
