And how rude...Dayton's kicker is not even on this list...That makes it totally invalid...IMO

Lone Star Recruiting 2014, was where I saw it. -
I'm not much on evaluating kids who are still growing and progressing. Don't know where bronco pride, liltex or smokin' baby get their facts about who is, or isn't, a D1 prospect. But, I can read...Texas Top 100, class of 2014, list Denny as it's 3rd ranking QB...But I guess they probably havn't checked w/ either of you yet.

Preview Show for Sept. 4th is not going to be a Preview...

Bert Brocker, owner of GMC Auto Dealerships in Humble and Baytown, has a new
venture...Streaming live and archived games of all 19-4A and 13-5A games played out of Humble's Turner Stadium. TexanAllSports.com began Thursday night and will continue throughout this 2012 season...Pretty neat. -
From what I've seen over the last couple of seasons...This thread should be titled, Who's best in the new 19-4A?...with a date included. Through last season and the start of this one, have not seen anybody who can be called the best...and...it would sure create a shorter thread. Most of this garble is just antagonizing, intimidating and bragging. JMO...

Regardless of the competition, for the Eagles, every phase of their game looked much improved from past season. Have to give a high grade to Stump, his staff and the team. Taylor Stump did a good job, last night, as a receiver.

Well folks...It's just about time...Tomorrow evening starts another season.
All that's left for players, ex-players, parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters and girlfriends, is to go on line and listen to Kenny Chesney's Boys of Fall. That's the final fire-up...And it'll get your motor running.
Have a great season and a great adventure guys... -
Either liltex's fingers are tired from last night and this morning...OR...he was shocked at what he saw at GP.
Surely SCDAWGS has a recap...Let's hear it. -
Don't see anything posted about how Dayton's kicker did tonight..

I think these people know what their talking about! ;)

From past reading experiences...Don't know why anyone would get excited about this Chronicle's 19-4A Preview. He starts out saying that K-Park won their Dist. title last season..Enough said. Looks like a rookie reporter was given his shot and just didn't do much legwork. Kind of like reading the posts of some of the responders on this site...You do a yahoo for what you like, or, jump in and react to what you dispute. As several of you have stated, doesn't matter anyhow...It's done on the field, not on this board, so take it all with that perverbial grain of salt.
Still love reading all of ya'll's stuff... -
IMO...after watching for a summer season...the Columbia Angel program is a way to go. Coaches are fair, no nonsense, do the correct way types. Players are only told "Good job", when you get the job done. And, you're also told when you don't get it done. One of the fairest priced programs out there for Select Ball. Again...JMO

When you say Baytown's storied athletic history, you have to go back to the 50's and 60's. In those days, the Beaumont/PA/Orange area could only compete w/ Pt Arthur Thomas Jefferson. Everyone else in that area were doormats in just about all sports. Dan Stallworth(Baytown Lee) started the multiple(more than 3) coaching staff in football. He made everyone else have to catch up.

Probably, if we look back on this thread, BH was getting the same "Poor BH" treatment prior to last season. Didn't do bad for a second year program. We'll take the "off the radar" tag. Good motivator. Go Baseball Eagles...
-
Possibly in reference to Coach Long's retirement announcement after the game last night. What a storied program Brenham Baseball has been during his tenure. Hope this forum doesn't lose BrenhamFan.

Great job Eagles...

Pretty common fact that a lot of people, especially diehard fans and some parents, just don't understand. If you have the athletes, you can run Ring Around The Roses for an offense, and it will be fairly successful. If you don't have the horses, you struggle...Especially in a strong District like 20-4A. JMO...
-
Come on GCMPats...Base hits and errors are generally the decision of an assigned coach working with whomever is keeping the official book. No one lets student athletes decide that stuff.
-
And...You might say...One game or three...It's a tough match-up for the Dogs...

Barbers Hill Jr. Nathan Oliphant hit his first HR Friday night in the
BH - North Forrest game. -
On Friday the 23rd...Did Dayton win over GCM 4 - 3, or did GCM win by that score?

What happened? Update please...
