Russell "Runt" Pinson, the feature of this Article, was killed recently in a head on collision on Hwy 1960 in Atascocita. Sad loss of a legendary figure of Humble. He will be missed by all who loved him.

For BH tonight vs New Caney...Kaleb Denny hit his 5th. Sr. Nathan Oliphant hit 2. Sr. Austin Homan hit his first. Eagles now 21 - 2, 8 - 0 in Dist. 19-4A

When I was in college, in the 50's, for 4 seasons we played a weekend series in Fireman's Park during the Brenham Mayfest. Was one of my most memorable baseball experiences. Still love to go there. The Park is great, but the atmosphere created by the Brenham Community is the best. Great baseball memories. Have gotten to watch son and grandson play there. Is the Wagon Wheel Saloon still there?

Barbers Hill..19-4A...17 - 2 on the season...4 - 0 in Dist. 19.

From the comment of the K-Park Coach, he gave no credit to the Eagles...Just said that he and his coaches didn't have his team ready. Good ol' bulletin board material for the Eagles.

Barbers hill, now at 15 - 2, faces a tough road test tomorrow at Kingwood Park. KP, picked to win 19-4A, has several top caliber athletes who have already signed for the next level, and are ranked #2, behind Tomball, by Houston5Abaseball.
Go get'em Eagles... -
Hill played 6 games to win the tournament. Spring, who they beat for the title, played a total of 4 games to become the runnerup. What a team effort for BH. Lots of arms had to contribute over the last 3 days.

Barbers Hill 6 WP Thames...Crosby 1 LP Davenport

Any final results on the weekend play of Magnolia West and Crosby?

Final BH 8 Vidor 1

Kaleb Denny...Jr. Barbers Hill...1 vs. La Porte
Tyler Beasley...Sr. Barbers Hill...1 vs. La Porte -
How many scrimmages do you witness where a coach let's the scoreboard be used for anything other than balls, strikes and outs? None, that I've seen in 19-4A and 13-5A. Only place that I've seen scores kept is in the stands.
-
Aren't Scrimmages, like, where everybody plays, all wantabe pitchers get a chance to pitch, and they don't keep score...cause it's not a real game?

How packed will the Navasota and West Orange Stark game be? Turner Stadioum big enough?
Who is home team?
Turner is big enough, trust me. ;)
Hopefully the jumbotron is working correctly.
Oh SCDAWGS... Humble, and SC, must be so proud of you...You even rag your own home stadium. The jumbo tron has been working fine the last 2 playoff games, but, guess you weren't around. -

And so would Dayton, BH and Crosby...
i didny play that long ago. You must be old. I dont remember just one team making the playoffs.

In the 80's, and back, only the District Winner moved on...Then...Little League Rules, and $$$, started to come into being. -
And so would Dayton, BH and Crosby...
-
Sad...Don't think that you can single out one position player, and base the success, or failure, of your season on that. Those Bronco seniors played into week 3 of playoff season for two and three years and deserve more. JMO

Did Will Foreman play with both the Angels and the Heat?

BH's RB???!!!! Really???!!! You can't be serious. W/o the sneaky option, none of BH's RB's pose a threat. Their offense is like running a trick play each down. It makes even marginal backs look good. Just look at Vidor. If it were not for deception, that team isn't running on anyone.
O'Neil is a FB. Their isn't a lot of trickery in him running straight at you. -
Aldridge is a good RB, but there r several in 19 4A who would hav to be rated higher. For pure toughness, O'neil of BH would get my vote. He gets more carries than Aldridge and has twice the yardage, mostly right up th middle.

One great team is going to be sitting home after round 2! either of these teams has a legit shot at going to State.
As much as it turns my stomach to say this, but VIDOR is a great team that's sitting out. Vidor could beat BH, Crosby (if they could handle Crosby's passing), and probably many others including a Nederland rematch.
SC scored 24 on BH and you say that...Talk about getting delusional in your wins. We will always pull for our District's teams, but not you...Give us a break. -
1:30PM game time at Woodforest in the Woodlands.

Conroe's Woodforrest...Saturday. Don't know time

Believe it's been talked about, on here, several times. D1 programs have a total of 11.7 scholarships to give out. 70% of a full is about the max for a good recruit. Don't know of any fulls given recently. Would hav to really be a game changer to be offered a full. If your a good enough student, academically, they can sometimes work out more $$$.
