The biggest difference I saw in Brady was that when the season started, he was a skinny incoming 9th grader, all of 140 lbs at 6'0.

I can't tell you what his height and weight is today, but I saw him two weeks ago at a baseball game and he's not the same looking kid.  I didn't get close enough to him to tell exactly how tall he was, but he was taller than me and I am 6'2

I'm a little under 6'4" and as of mid January Brady was just about looking eye to eye with me, he weighs 190 currently.

You could be right on all of the above, who knows. I don't know the family as well as my posts might suggest, I just know what I've been told and know their reputation around the area. Good small town folks.

This is why I don't think Brady will play anywhere else besides Anahuac for the next 3 years.  He's a country boy and has no desire to live in a big city atmosphere.

It’s hard to believe this is their first State title.  I’d love to know their record over the last 10 years.  Can’t be anyone better.

I was curious, so I went to MaxPreps and looked at the past decade.  I'm no softball expert, so I don't know the average number of games played per season, but it looked like some of the games were missing scores, plus some of the season records looked a little off (one season only 7 games, 23 another, then 40+ on a few) but from the info that was there, they are 312-42.

Back from the game and I thought it was a good showing tonight for the Eagles. BH had 3 opportunities to win this at the end. Dropped interception, missed fumble recovery then poor coverage on a 4 th and 11 any of which would have sealed the victory. BH QB was slow to get rid of the ball and had a hard time
    sensing pressure
, but that will all get better as he adjust to the speed of Varsity. Outside of that he did well with his feet and made some good passes as well as missed some wide open receivers, but again he will improve each game. Katy was well rounded and played good on both sides of the ball even though I thought BH had the size on them. Anyway good 1st game next week we will get a better idea of where we stand when PAM comes to town.

There was plenty to sense, I'm sure some was self inflicted from holding on to the ball too long, either way BH has to get that cleaned up.

what ever makes you happy NED

One of my former screen names is "BHEagle97", my location is "The Hill",  my logo is the BH logo, and I've been a member since March of 2011.  My cousin, who is several years older than I am, went to Waco Robinson, not Barbers Hill has never coached at BH.  This is my final attempt at holding your hand and spoon feeding it to you. Apparently you can lead a "Dude" to facts but you can make him understand them.

    welcome to setxsports NED

First of all, why would I lie about him being my cousin? We're not in 3rd grade. Second, I'm pretty sure he's more concerned with preparing the Hormet football program for success than creating an account here to justify why he took a job.  Come on, man.

Cool so Ned (my cousin) left Caney Creek for one reason. Family. His daughter just graduated and is heading off to college. HIs son, who'll be a seventh grader absolutely hated CC. He wanted to go to a 'country' school and did not want to be in a 'city' ever again.  Ned wanted to go somewhere where he felt like there was enough talent to have a chance to make the play-offs.  He applied at Hardin and 2 other districts. (both were considerably farther distances from Hardin, which is a short drive from where the majority of his family lives) Because of this, and the fact that his in-laws live in Livingston, Hardin was the consensus choice.  Anything else I need to clear up for you?

I actually do know, and if your insinuating something nefarious happened, you are a certified lying piece of sh*t. You’re what’s wrong with that town. The man isn’t even through the door and you’re already trying to attack his character. Go back to the computer lab before somebody pulls your card.

2wedge nailed it with this and his earlier post about why he left Caney Creek.  In the words of Carlos Correa, "if you don't know the facts, you gotta shut the f*!& up".
