It's such a big rivalry that sports tv stations like Spectrum Channel 323 decides to come in and do a tv replay of the game at 11 pm Friday. 

Can y'all imagine if Bill Belichick coached Livingston? They would have won 22-5A this year.

Last year I had to sit in the crowd for a few during North Shore at Memorial. Fans were all over Kenny. It was freaking North Shore, same team that later won state.

Hard to tell if you'll be more excited that PNG gets over the hump or that the Nederland kids might have to choke on a hard pill.  Either way, this Nederland team has shown a lot of character to keep plugging even when events completely out of their control unfolded.  It started on the first day of two a days and has continued through the forfeit, and a wagon load of injuries at key positions.  The Nederland faithful will be very proud of them, regardless of the outcome this Friday.  That's how we roll.

He was on IV's before the game last year. Not saying we would have won, but that may have been a factor.

PNG's run game could be the difference maker with Hughes and Johnson on the read option. 
Nederland has a great secondary with sophomore Noah Lewis has six picks and is 1 INT behind Kary Vincent for district lead. 
Id expect Nederland to need to have to run the ball really well and that plays into PNGs favor.

You do remember Kadon only played in a handful of games last year? So saying another quarterback would have done better is a mute point. 
Its also made mute by the fact Kadon is second in 22-5A in yards and leads the district in completion % at 68 and has 19 TDs and 7 interceptions. 
People need to quit trying to point at the QB like that position was the only position that struggled the last two years. 
Kam didn't have 1,000 yards last year. Do you blame him for there being no running game? 
No, you realize the line didn't play well and he was hit in the backfield almost every player.

Nederland could be without QB Balysin Fernandez after he dislocated his hip against Lumberton.
The biggest thing Nederland has on its side is the fact the Bulldogs have basically been playing playoff games for a month. They were constantly in must win games and dealing with injuries and other matters. 
PNG like I said should win this game but the Bulldogs are led by three guys named Larry, Delbert and Monte. Nothing those three pulls off ever surprises me. 

Oh don't get me wrong Ricky was maybe the greatest leader in PNG history and was an outstanding QB. 
Are QBs better these days? You have to say yes. They are asked to do much more and to know much more. Defenses are more complex and faster as well. It is not a stab at any old farts (jk) but as years have gone by the game has changed and at some positions have had to get better to keep up. Now kickers, they are still kickers.
