Tidwell could end up being a great hire, time can only tell. I still think and the majority of Southeast Texas will always think Ancelot was the best choice for the Lady Cards. Nothing can be done now and nothing anyone says will change what has been done. All anyone can do now is support LU and wish them the best and now get to enjoy Ancelot for many more years at OF. The Lady Bobcats I am sure wanted the best for her just like everyone else and now the best for the Lady Bobcats will be back.

Hicks may be the best freshman baseball I have ever covered. He is a great kid and so smooth at SS. Robertson is an excellent freshman catcher for BC, he is in control all the time. I have seen the dville freshmans stats when the games get called in and they are always impressive. Im ready to see what that boy from buna looks like when they play BC. And Benoit did look good for PNG when I say them against LCM. So many youngsters in this area, tons of freshman and even more sophomores it seems! Going to be exciting to watch these guys grow and succeed.

Warner did have two homeruns, one against WOS and one against Kelly...Dont have my scorebook with me at the house but he did have a good week. The one against Kelly went on to be the game winning runs

Is there not a rule on how much a kid can throw in one week? Or how much he can throw in between games? I heard he comes in in every single game. I dont care if he is your only pitcher, that is not right to his future and it also shows disrespect to any other pitcher on their roster. A kids health is more important than a district or even state championship. Give the kid a break before something goes seriously wrong over what is simply a game.

Someone dig up the names of a girl from Central and Ozen. They had to have a star. I didnt see them at all since I mainly covered 21-3A so much. I saw Kelly twice and Hanna Godina was pretty good. Thats all I have, think I covered OF and WOS a 100 times each! Its all that is in my scorebook ;D

What Im trying to get across is recruiting from this area would be a start, a building block. Major recruits from other areas are not coming here anyways, start from here and build then see where it takes you. The system in place and what has been there has failed. Try something new, this goes for both the men and womens teams

Oh i know there is a bigger world outside SE Texas but I promise girls like Kristy Sanders, Courtney Wilson, Chelsea Pickering and others like Ang Green and Kellum are worthy of playing for LU. Start with a core of our girls and work outwards. Once that happens and a few wins start coming around, then the fans come back and even bigger names from our area and beyond will follow. A change is needed and recruiting from here and a local coach is actually a change! Recruiting local sure has helped the baseball team.

But why keep letting our local talent slip away? Prime examples are WO-S' Brittney Scott and James. LU girls have been recruiting away from here and it hasn't worked. The change would be for them to actually look for girls here first.

Um where is Nolan Ryan and his no-hiiters and his strike out record? Or Dennis Eckersley even though he was a closer, Id take him over Pedro any day.
