  1. I root for them because they do what every other team could do but choose not to do - spend money. 3/4 of the owners are just as rich as the Yankees but The Boss actually spends the money. Sports teams are the owners little pets, not where they get their money. Yes it hasn't worked this season or years past lately for NY but at least they give themselves a shot with some of the games best players.
  2. I'll second what Ashley said, associated press doesnt always send out what the MLS is up to.
  3. Yankees beat the Red Sox! Just felt like making sure everyone knew. Im calling a sweep and a lot of ground being made up this week!
  4. I knew they could do it...Ive been the Spurs biggest fan all year long. Im so darn excited. Wow, I just love them Spurs :
  5. Who is this Stringer guy? Oh just kidding Jeff you got my vote
  6. Good call King, Ive always liked Bibby as a guard. He plays very hard and has a ton of experience.
  7. Its early but....*scratches Cat22 off my Christmas card list*...
  8. I just found this story online myself. Another Gabriel reporter??? Come on Cardinals, show this Gabriel from the OL covers the better team!
  9. Of course Im going with the Cards. Like Troy Bolton told me once this year, how many times does the No. 1 team actually win it all? You figure they have to lose at some point so why not this upcoming week?
  10. Coop will give you a $100 if you can guess who put in the lone Jazz vote....Right?
  11. Bad thing is...I dont even know why! I cant come up with a good reason I dont like them to save my life. Just one of those things.
  12. Very proud of Meeks! Before the game he was sitting alone at the end of the bench like he had a no-hitter going. He seemed like he knew exactly what he had to do and he did it. Congrats to him and the Cards
  13. Hicks wants it, I can tell you that. I talked to him several times after the game and he is still ready. They might not let him pitch though because of the injury. A back injury is way more important than a win. Two things could happen if he pitches...No. 1 - he hurts himself more and that is the last thing anyone wants. No 2 - The injury doesnt allow him to be himself and that isnt good for BC...As bad as he wants to go, rest the back and let your team take care of you. Hicks has done more for BC than anyone ever thought. BC can still do it and this set back might only drive some guys to step up.

Yah I did didn't I? It was 28-18? The score seems closer than what the game was. We played good actually but Briles was a man among boys that night. He was one of the best athletes I had ever seen, then I saw youre boy Beasley. See an Indian can compliment a Mustang, sometimes. ;D

The QB was Kendall Briles and the Coach was Art Briles. *shivers again*...Please move on now guys
  16. Reminds himself to remember to not like Cat22 anymore. And to think I was talk so highly of OF. I just didnt know there were Spurs fans in Bobcat Country. Time to rethink a few things. ;D
  17. Good luck to you Coach McCarter. It was always a good time to cover the Mustangs. Even had a friend with me at the PNG Tourney and he still talks about Coach McCarter and thought he was the funniest person ever.
  18. Meeks will get it done. The Cards are not ready to go home yet. The problems they had can be fixed and I expect they will be.

Ugh, I saw the screen name from Stephenville and shivered. Man yall tore PNG's butt that year in the state final. *Shivers again* (sorry this is off topic but that one still hurts)
  20. They might have went out early but I still say the area was not down, just a little young. These teams beat up on each other through district and it takes a lot just to make the playoffs around here. Those young teams just ran into experienced teams it seems this year and showed their youth a bit. There is nothing wrong with this area. The talent and coaching in the Golden Triangle is still some of the best in the state. Look for several teams to make it a few rounds deep next year and prove this area is not slipping one bit. Just go look at all the great players that graduated last season school by school. They werent just good players, this area lost GREAT players to graduation last year. We will be alright
  21. MVP hands down Jake Rowell Hit over .600 in district with one K; .535 on the year. 11 homers Over 40 RBI i believe If there is a play of the year it would be Jon Gunns at UH against Bay City He turned a 360 stuck out his glove behind him and snared the ball out of the year and Im not sure I even described it right! Just think of a Kobe Bryant dunk but it was gunn doing those moves and catching a looping fly ball!
  22. Man I just dont know why I dont like the spurs so much. Van is getting close to that free lunch when the spurs win the series

Actually it has been going on TOO much in the coach of the year thread. It went from coach of the year talk to "hey lets bash billy"...hope to see it stopped. If a player from BC can come out and say he doesnt always agree with coach bryant but still thinks he is a good coach and respects him - none of us can argue at all.
  24. Bowen kicked stoudemire in the leg while going up for a lay up; Nashs' nose was bloodied (although that one was accidential but it still happened), Nash was kneeded in the jewels and now Horrys shot. Thats a few too many incidents.
