  1. Framber Valdez against the A's: 7 IP, 7 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 10 K, 92 pitches, 65 strikes, 48 swings, 16 whiffs, 10 groundouts, 89.7 mph average exit velocity. If that was it for Valdez in an Astros uniform, it was a vintage showing. He finishes the season with a 3.66 ERA.
  2. That won't be much of a game. Willis by a lot.
  3. Yep. Now need a Cleveland win tonight and the Astros will be tied with Detroit for the final playoff spot with three games to play. Detroit finishes with a three game series at Boston. Houston will play at the Angels to finish the regular season. Still have a chance.
  4. It's pretty obvious who is the forum clown.
  5. Yea, to slap him upside his head.
  6. 1000% agree. My point about Trump is that he wanted (or needed in some way) to point the finger at one particular drug company. It just looks like a witch hunt which I personally believe it is for whatever reason. I think it's simply another headline grabber moment for Trump. No real substance behind this move.
  7. Isn't he the complete opposite of motivational?
  8. That speaks loudly. Awesome post.
  9. Lookout, you might be labeled a little crying puppy dog with those kind of "realistic" comments.
  10. Hunter Brown is the sixth pitcher in Astros history to throw at least 185 innings in a season and finish with an ERA lower than 2.45. Roger Clemens was the last person to do it in 2005 -
  11. That's a very good question. I have pondered it myself. Lot's of things have to happen in order to have 30 IL's in a season. That's just crazy.
  12. See, this is just another stupid take from you. Houston set an MLB all time record with the most IL's in a single season. 30!!! No team has EVER experienced that kind of turnover. There maybe is 2-3 teams in the MLB that could have weathered that kind of storm and still be battling for a playoff spot with 4 games remaining. Vast majority of the teams would have been done by the end of July or August. Houston had 3 starting pitchers miss basically the whole season. Had their best closer miss 3/4 of the season. Three of their better relievers miss almost half the season. They had to bring up some minor league arms just to get them through some rough patches. As for every day players, Alvarez missed 3/4 of the season. Pena and Meyers missed two months, Parades missed almost 2 months. That's 4 of your best bats gone for the bulk of the season. Couple that with the loss of Bregman and Tucker to FA and trade, that is a huge loss to the Astros lineup. There is no way anyone that has any kind of baseball knowledge dismiss the fact that Houston's season was decimated with injuries. So many of the baseball experts on the tube have acknowledged that fact countless times this season and have praised the Astros for still being in the playoff hunt. Yes, it is about wins and losses. Pretty dang hard to win games the way the Astros had to win this season. I guarantee that if you knew that Houston would have this kind of injury plagued season, you would have said they will win 70 games at best and not sniff the playoffs. At least a sane person could see that. Yet according to you, none of that matters.
  13. Luis Garcia will have some sort of surgery and miss all of 2026. Also, Hader still isn’t throwing but imaging shows the shoulder is healing. Alvarez is working out in the weight room but not running yet
  14. Some teams post their stats on MaxPreps but not all teams.
  15. Been a while since I have been in press box at BH. I know they have sodas and water but not certain on the food. I want to say the last time I was there they had Subway platters.
  16. Don't know how true this is but I saw where ABC is threatening Nexstar, Sinclair and others with not providing SEC football broadcasts to those companies if they don't air Jimmy. Sounds made up to me. I have not tried to verify.
  17. It's quite simple, Astros have to win their remaining 5 games to have any chance of making playoffs. They are a game back of Cleveland and Detroit but in all actuality they are two back due to both teams having the tiebreaker over Houston. Another loss and it will take nothing short of a miracle (Detroit to keep losing) for Houston to make post season.
  18. DCTF has Angleton as a 48 point favorite. I see it about the same. Angleton, 56-13
  19. Have no clue on the health of Hitchcock. Not privy to that info. I would take Silsbee also if it were equal. I just know who Silsbee will be missing and it's pretty significant.
  20. Maybe they are like Vegas. They know something we don't know. Also could be like Vegas to entice more betting. lol
  21. Brandon Walter became the fourth Astros pitcher to undergo elbow surgery this year. Also, Pena will not be in the lineup for tonight's game.
  22. I assume you do not know about Silsbee missing starters for this game.
  23. Well in this case the computer is picking Hitchcock to win so it deems them the favorite.
  24. I think I saw that the computer is at an 80% win clip. Not sure what it is with covering the spreads.
