I prefer a two team playoff system but I don't make the rules. In a 4 team playoff system, 4th is much better than 5th. Not all 4th place teams "stagger" into the playoffs. Some districts are far more stronger than others. Not all district champions are top 5 teams and in some cases, nowhere near the top 10. I am also speaking in general terms and not specific to a particular district.

I am pretty certain that no 5th place team has ever won a high school football playoff game. 4th will always be better than 5th in a 4 team playoff system. Anyone suggesting they are the same is just not credible.

Yes. Unless KOGT does the game. TL is not doing WO-S games this season unless they play an opponent (PN-G, Silsbee) that is being covered by TL.

Those last few sentences is what I came away with after seeing them play HF. Losing the QB Simmons will hurt them next year. Right now, he is the bulk of the offense.

Incorrect on both counts.

Miller played the 4th in the Huffman, Nederland and Brazosport games along with the WO-S game. Only game the starters were pulled before 4th was the HJ game. As for WO-S game and "feelings"? The score was 31-27 going into 4th Q, so Miller was needed in the 4th. Nothing about "feelings".

WOS is 3-4

EC is picked to finish 3rd in district. If they don't beat Anahuac and Orangefield, that will be where they finish. After finishing top 2 for the last several years with several district titles, one could say they are a little down. I have seen several of their games the last few years. This year's team is just not as good as the past few years. Doesn't make them a terrible team.
