Nope. I have just got confirmation on the time for the regional finals. I was wrong and w518991 is right. The regional finals will be at 6:30pm. Sam's game that Saturday is at 2pm.

With the TAKS testing causing the UIL to move the Regional Quarterfinal basketball playoffs back a night, this gives me the opportunity to break out my baseball vocals and get started on Silsbee Tiger baseball broadcast. The Tigers will play host to the Kountze Lions Tuesday night and we will bring you all the action right here at Setxsports.com. First pitch will be at 6pm and broadcast time will start at 5:45pm. (just excuse me if I get carried away and say "Slam dunk" instead of "Homerun". ;D) Mike Sanchez, Tiger Sports and Setxsports.com broadcaster

Silsbee has 16 players on the varsity baseball roster which are made up with 1 senior, 0 juniors, the rest soph. and fresh. To state that the Tigers are young this year would be an understatement. It's basically a JV aged team but with varsity talent.

Coldspring did not want to move their game with Silsbee up an hour or back an hour to accomadate having a doubleheader with HJ/Cleveland, is what I am told.

I certainly don't have a problem with that scenario. I have had my hotel reservation booked in Huntsville for over 2 months now. ;D Plus, when HJ makes it, that will give me two games to broadcast that night. ;D

This is all I could find on La Vega. It's not even a complete schedule, some games are missing. The Waco Tribune has a couple of articles on some games but no team stats or roster for La Vega. La Vega beat Cameron by 2, a team that Silsbee just dismantled in the Area round by 22. They have also lost to and have beaten Glen Rose who is still in the 3A playoffs. Liberty Hill beat them by 19, they are still in the playoffs. La Vega defeated Crockett and 2A Hearne, both playoff teams. The most significant win would be their 12 point win over Lorena, a team that Jasper just ousted from the playoffs, 72-63. La Vega did lose to Lorena the second time around in district, 55-47 in 2OT.

When you watched Hightower 40 of his starting 5 were suspended and two of his top boys were playing football (going to State). The kids were back for District, now they are strong. Travis played them close in both regular season games, but that is a rivalry and really can't be compared to the playoffs. I think Hightower wins this one. PA thinks they know Greens scheme ,but they never listenned long enough to learn it! I agree, short, this is a very different Hightower team from early in the season. This is the team that most experts thought would be the team to represent Region III in Austin this year. Hightower ends Memorial's season.

Stallworth can't be Newcomer because he started for Silsbee last year and I think he got that award last year if I'm not mistaken.

Ozen is playing Huntsville....Not Central ???....Hightower has won 18 in a row and have not lost since getting Garland Green back in the line up from pre season suspension...PAM has made a great run, but I like Hightower in this one....by 12 I love this part of the year dont yall?...but I think we gone take coach Green with this he has a certain style of play and us in P.A. kno it...thats a little advantage we have but it will be one of those games...can we get broadcasted on the site now we are in the 3rd. round of the playoffs show us some love TITANS-57 HURRICANES-53 Can you get broadcasted on the site? Yes, you surely can as soon as you get some sponsors to pay for the broadcast. That's what the others have done to get their games broadcasted here. Just wanting to know if the games that are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday will be played or will they be moved due to TAKS testing on these days. Anyone know?

Are we certain that these games are going to be played on these dates? They are taking the TAKS test on these days. That's why UIL moved all quarterfinal rounds in the basketball playoffs to Wed. and Thurs. nights this week.

You never want to agree to flip with the chance of playing at Cleveland. That's a big no-no. I too hope it's a doubleheader at Lee. That way I can broadcast two games that night. ;D

See there is nothing wrong with how you made your point on this particular post. But the other comments on the posts that got deleted were uncalled for. I have seen both these girls teams play this year. If Kountze had to play without Hargraves, then they were definetly at a disadvantage going up against Woodville. It's ashame that it went down like that. But, injuries are part of the game.

Dallas Carter was the #1 team before the playoffs started. The next TABC poll will not come out until after the state championships are over. BTW, Dallas Carter lost to Highland Park in the Area round.

That is ashame. I've seen too many of these cases.
